I couldn't find a single UK train app that included all the features I wanted and thus Trainly was born. It serves to be an application that includes a range of useful features like accurate tracking, interactive maps, London Underground and alerts!
Looks cool! I'm an iPhone user so sadly can't try. I bookmarked the blog - I like reading about trains (briefly worked on underground rail engineering). A blog post about how you made the app might be cool... APIs etc. Anyway, congrats on the launch!
@thomasjamesio I've been looking into porting to iOS but I'm not in a position at the moment to publish to the App Store. I will have a look at writing a post about how I made the app!
Using apps like this can make taking public transportation less difficult. Congrats on the launch!
How does it ensure travelers have a seamless and up-to-date experience with their train journeys?
@ricardo_luz One feature is alerts that you can easily setup within the application and it sends you notifications if your train is delayed or cancelled. When searching for trains it also lets you know about disruptions, for instance a problem with the tracks.
