Hey PH Community - I'm Nick from Traffic Think Tank looking forward to answering any questions (and getting any feedback) from everyone. Cheers!

@nick_eubanks Hi Nick I'm learning online marketing for almost 8 months, and so far most of the platforms I tried were average, mostly focusing on getting more money out of their users (Like WA for example). What makes Traffic Think Tank unique in the niche?
nick eubanks
@agnes_thompso Hi Agnes - this is a great question that I’m happy to answer. For starters, there nothing else to buy. The monthly membership is the only cost a member will ever incur (unless you choose to come to our live event (I.e. trafficthinktank.com/live) which has a ticket cost of $50 for members. We have a strict no pitching/soliciting policy that is strictly enforced and the main reason is we want to maintain a safe space. Our goal is to create sustain an open atmosphere where members can feel comfortable to ask any questions they may have and get honest answers; not answers motivated by an up-sell or attempt to squeeze out more money.

Been using Traffic Think Tank pretty much since it came out. I know a couple of the founders personally. I would highly recommend. They are truly SEO experts. Their knowledge and ongoing tips, along with the overall help of the community, is unmatched in the industry.

Traffic Think Tank is o̶n̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶s̶t̶ the best SEO community out there. Being a paid SEO community a lot of you might have reservations to join but I think this barrier to entry weeds out a lot of the inactive and troll accounts that fill up the other communities. The regular Webinars, Live Q&As & Templates that are shared alone make up for the cost of joining. The cherry on top is the fact that the community is made of industry veterans who are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with you, it's like having the SEO community as a mentor.

When I first got involved in digital marketing I fell in at the deep end, and had no clue about what was important and where to focus my time. I spent 12-18 floundering around, making little progress, until I eventually discovered the SEO community. I slowly starting building up my network - which took lots of time and proactive effort.

Traffic Think Tank shortcuts all of this. When you don't know where to start, you can just ask any of the experienced marketers in there who have done it a million times. When you want to talk through specific problems with people going through exactly the same shit, you'll find that too. And you'll have a fantastic portal to grow and develop your own network, through the Slack community and offline events.

And if all you want to do is sit back quietly and learn, then the excellent, regular webinars and case studies will absolutely have you covered.

TTT is a fantastic community and I'm honoured to be a part of it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone in digital marketing, particularly those who want some support from more experienced heads, or those who want to skill-up and push themselves to the next level.

Pros:

- Super engaged community

- High quality, exclusive content

- Access to a wealth of experience

- Particularly strong SEO focus

Cons:

Could be clearer/easier to access evergreen content

Hey Product Hunt 👋Matt here from Traffic Think Tank. I’m one of the three co-founders, along with @nick_eubanks and @ianhowells, and we’re all really excited to share our latest project with you all. All three of us have spent a large chunk of our careers focused on search engine optimization (SEO). I’m the Director of Marketing over at HubSpot, Ian is the Director of Search at LendingTree, and Nick runs multiple major marketing agencies with some of the biggest brands in the world on their books. Now, learning SEO isn’t easy. There are tons of self-proclaimed “experts” and a whole host of confusing and contradictory content out there on what actually works to drive traffic from the search engines. Traffic Think Tank looks to solve this. We’ve built a private membership community and brought in some of the leading minds in the industry (that are actually able to demonstrate their expertise through results) to regularly produce educational content to members. In short, we’re giving you everything you need to learn about SEO, have your issues diagnosed and open up new career opportunities. Anyway, we’ll be sticking around all day to answer your questions and would love any suggestions that you have (criticisms openly welcomed and encouraged!). ✌️

It must be amazing @matthewbarby ,@nick_eubanks & @ianhowells are probably the smartest guys in the industry, they do everything with passion (it's why they're the best). Those guys are elite educators, If you want to get better at SEO, join their community. Learn and get better, it's that simple. If you have any doubt try to find one piece of content they've written that wasn't absolute gold
nick eubanks
@yanivgoldenberg thanks so much Yaniv
Matthew Howells-Barby
@nick_eubanks @ianhowells @yanivgoldenberg Really appreciate this comment, Yaniv :) Thanks a lot.

Loving this concept and venture. Anything by these SEO gurus is just gold for marketers.

8 years of working online as a blogger and internet marketer, and still haven't mastered completely SEO. Maybe, I can give Traffic Think Tank a go and clarify my doubts. I have many questions I'd love a clean and professional answer.
Ian Howells
Hey @erikemanuelli - we've got an ever-growing library of guides, videos, etc here: https://trafficthinktank.com/mem... and are always happy to answer specific questions from members, be it in the public channels, or via DMs if there's sensitive client info, etc. If the content list looks like it would be helpful - we'd love to see you inside 👍
Ian Howells
Hey @jeff_rivas - A new video/guide/webinar/etc is typically added every Wednesday. Discussion happen all throughout the day, across channels. The SEO and Q&A channels are the most active on a day to day basis.
Brendan Hufford
@erikemanuelli @ianhowells @jeff_rivas I disagree that SEO changes a lot. That's something that people use to try to get you to read the latest blog post or buy the latest product. You don't have to worry about that in TTT. The best practices are laid out and quantified by the members and the nuances (the small things that change) are talked about openly. 😃

Why would anyone pay for this? There are far better SEO resources and communities out there that are completely free, like Moz, and https://growthhackers.com/posts
nick eubanks
@alexwinkyface Hey Alex - In my opinion members are willing to pay for 3 min reasons: 1) Personal help with their specific questions and websites from a large network of people actually doing the work (not just writing about it). 2) Access to content that will never be shared publicly on sites like GH or Moz (templates, videos, tools, and checklists) about strategies and tactics that are working *now* 3) The ability to network with other folks in the industry from around the world (over 45 countries at this point) and learn about opportunities for jobs, gigs, and partnerships.

I think the idea of a community of traffic experts is an excellent idea as it provides accountability for the traffic advice on offer. Some advice I had when first starting out was questionable - but then I learned to question!
nick eubanks
@joy_healey I couldn't agree more Joy, and it was one of the main driving reasons behind creating the community; to assemble real world practitioners to share what's working _now_
Joy Healey

I really like the concept of this but wonder if it could have been done on Facebook, which more people may be familiar with instead of Slack? There's already a huge learning curve with traffic!

Pros:

Access to traffic training from experts, with accountability from the group

Cons:

I never got to grips with Slack

Samuel Lavoie
The pros of using Slack over Facebook to me are 1. It's a clean, no-ads experience, 2. It's more search friendly with archived content and 3. DMs and channels all in one place.
Ben Jacobson
Congrats to @matthewbarby and team on the rollout. This community looks like it'll deliver a whole lot of value to anyone interested in boosting traffic to websites 🌶️
Ian Howells
Thanks @osbennn 👍
wpglossy

Great to know about this SEO training, I'll consider getting it!

Pros:

Exclusive Materials To gain the SEO knowledge.

Cons:

Might not be affordable for the newbies

Paul Shuteyev
@matthewbarby @ianhowells Oh, how I love closed private communities. Grab my upvote! We would like to offer you to publish an interview about TTT at https://startupradius.com/ please PM me at paul@startupradius.com if interested
Lorraine Reguly

I recently learned of this and am definitely going to share it with my friends online who are bloggers and marketers!

Pros:

A ton of support, access to great materials, and traffic growth strategies. What's not to love? ;)

Cons:

I don't see any except maybe it might be hard for new marketers to keep up...

Lorraine Reguly
This looks like a great thing for bloggers who are marketers! I'm going to share this with my friends (many of them are such people)!
Matthew Howells-Barby
@lorrainereguly Hey Lorraine, yes, we actually have a number of bloggers/affiliate marketers as members and I know they get a lot of value out of the community and from the content. We have a dedicated channel for content marketing discussion that always has useful topics related to blogging and content creation/strategy.
Tung Tran
I've been a member for a year and TTT has helped me explode my business. If you're an SEO / content marketer and you're not in TTT, you're seriously playing at a disadvantage compared to those of us who are their members. You would have to pay thousands of dollars just to get some private coaching with these guys. $119 / month and get unlimited access to the 3 guys who run some of the biggest sites on the planet? Shut up and take my money please :P But don't forget - you're getting access to a community of brilliantly smart SEOs. And they're friendly and happy to connect and share knowledge. Can't recommend TTT enough! Easily the best investment I have ever made in my SEO careers.
Dana Gore

I love the idea of learning as much as possible about SEO. I just can;t tell if this is ideal for beginners or better suited for someone more advanced.

Pros:

SEO training and networking

Cons:

Not sure if it's ideal for beginners

Dana Gore
Definitely sounds interesting. I love the idea of SEO training (that's always progressing and changing). My question is - how well suited is this for beginners?
Chery Schmidt
Traffic Think Tank!! The name alone has got my attention! And A Slack Group! What a game changer this is going to be, to be able to have direct access to experts like Nick Eubanks!! Wowsy Priceless!!
Matthew Howells-Barby
@chery_schmidt Yeah, if you're a fan of Slack in particular then TTT is the perfect place for you. To be honest, we get a lot of members that have never used Slack before and there's a few hours of a learning curve and then they usually hit the ground running. The rest of the community are always on hand to help, too.
