Hi PH community 👋 We introduced toddle as a beta product to the world back in May. Our goal was to change the way development teams work. The handover process is a productivity killer. We have one team in Figma, another in VSCode, and another that can only impact development through Jira tickets. It’s inefficient and slow. I mean, why is the best tool to build a visual web app a text editor? We identified three things that answer this question: 1️⃣ Flexibility and performance A tool should enable you to unfold your creativity and programming prowess, and it needs to render lightning fast ⚡ toddle cut the ties to limits so you can build whatever you want. toddle is now as flexible as any programming language without any performance cost. toddle is performant by default and renders fast and even better than custom code. 2️⃣ Collaboration and version control Large-scale applications require a lot of people who need to collaborate 🤝‍ toddle comes with GIT-style branches that let each programmer work on their own version without overwriting the changes made by their teammates. Branches are a must-have feature for any modern programming environment. Code or No-code. 3️⃣ Community and sharing Developers should not reinvent the wheel when they build a web app. We stand on the shoulders of giants, and NPM (the package manager for JavaScript) is a testament to that with over 1.3 Million free packages 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 toddle lets users build and share packages so the community can grow together 🚀 What’s different with toddle? ⭐ Developers see modules, designers see a canvas, but visual developers see both. We built toddle so you can create the designs you want. You should not be limited to the look and feel of default elements. We built those, but we give you the flexibility to create your own default elements. Now, designers, developers, and marketers can use the same tool. No more Jira tickets, throw-away wireframes, and wasteful requests. We need unified product teams, and it’s about time to break down the silos and ditch the text editor so we can build 10x faster 🏎️ Today is the official launch of toddle, and we can’t wait to see what you build! 🌱

A no-code web app builder that relies on web standards to help you build faster. it's fluid, instinctive, collaborative, fast and offers the possibility of putting it into production without a paid plan. The team is responsive and transparent, we feel invested in the construction of their product. Go for it, you won't be disappointed!

This product has changed how web applications can be built. A much smaller team can create effective products faster, working more efficiently. The quality is equal to that produced by larger teams, making this the cost effective option for entrepreneurs.
Anders Møller
@cph_kiwi I second that. I am building a test/assessment tool in toddle as we speak and it is impressive to me how fast and cost-effective I can build with this tool and the strong community around it.

Toddle is hands down the most thrilling front-end builder I've come across. What I admire about them is their unwavering focus on nailing the essentials. The editor is unbelievably fast, it allows me bring my own data and backend, has great SEO and it's fully loaded with CSS features. They also release updates to the product continuously, have first class support for branching, and have exceptional documentation, support, and a vibrant community.
Andreas Møller
@jak_io Thank you very much Jack! I am very excited to see what you are building in toddle

What makes it high performance?

@dexbyte toddle is designed in the same way as many other modern web frameworks, such as react or solidjs to ensure the same or better performance for apps built in toddle. The development principles you'll use in toddle automatically pushes you towards building performant apps that scales to any project size. That is the short answer to a complex question. The long one involves how we render your initial app Server Side, only ship code when needed etc. I'd be happy to explain any specific details, but listing all the performance improvements in one go would be a long reply. We are constantly improving the performance, as ultimately it is a question of priority. The reason we are listing it on our frontpage is because it is a cornerstone of toddle.
Andreas Møller
@dexbyte Great question there are quite a lot of different things you need to consider when trying to improve performance of web applications. How long does it take for a page loads? how long does it take before all the elements on a page is loaded? how responsive is the application after it has loaded? and dozen more things to be aware of. We built toddle from the ground up with these issues in mind. so e.g. toddle is not built on any existing framework, because we want to keep the javascript size as low as possible. toddle is built from the start to support server-side rendering of pages, so the users gets the content as quickly as possible. To sum it up in to a short answer ( if that is not too late). We spent a lot of time making sure that toddle applications run as fast as possible, and we will keep investing time in making performance better and better :)

Congrats on your launch! I really want to start using this tool, I have so many ideas! And the interface is really amazing! In my experience, if you use tools like Figma, Framer, etc., it will be very easy to get used to Toddle's interface.

I've had the pleasure of using toddle since the first public beta release last year. Can't speak highly enough of what it enables nocode developers like myself to be able to build. It really is liberating! Congrats on the PH launch! 🥳

💎 Pixel perfection
Definitely the new wave of NoCode builders. This is going to be huge. Trust me, I have used most of them. A lot of nocode app builders try to still follow the "Wix/Weebly" approach of over obfuscation. Or they go the other way and end up with more complexity that Wordpress (Flutterflow, I am look at you). Toddle looks like it is straddling the two sides really well. It assumes you know SOME tech. But that you don't want to code that much. Nice, very nice.
Vakis Rigas
@nigelgodfrey thanks for the kind words. We hope we can maintain that line going forward.
Rick Fan
Cool, I'd like to try it! Best of lucks!

@joemma Thank you!
Morten Korshavn Nielsen
Tried toddle in its early fase and was able to build a great looking MVP of an idea of mine in a matter of hours. Great product that will be a good tool for any designer that wants to build their own apps 🎉
Ishwar Jha
I found it quite exciting and curious to know how much impact it will have on team productivity and efficiency. Also, have you tested it with real customers?
Vakis Rigas
@ishwarjha Yes, we've had it in beta test for some time now. We have founders who have build new products from scratch. Agencies that build on behalf of clients and we are starting to see established businesses come to us when they need to refactor their code. One founder signed up and within about a month he built the product and got his first paying customer.

Congratulations @andreas_toddle, @vakisr, and the Toddle team! Toddle has proven to be a robust front-end platform that when paired with Xano can create powerful, scalable software. I'm excited to see the team continue to grow Toddle and the variety of web applications users will build on it. Toddle will have a big impact on the burgeoning No-Code industry. PS. Also, looking forward to launching some joint Xano-Toddle content with Andreas very soon!
