@anas Looks pretty sweet, can't wait to try it. One thing our office is looking for is the ability to have "retainers" and as time is logged by team members it goes against a customer's retainer. Is this a possibility in the app? Also, can an auto generated email be sent each Monday that gives a customer a heads up about what was accomplished last week and how much is left on a retainer (if supported)?
Anas Bouhtouch
@automateiq Hi Chris, thank you for your interest. We have time budgets instead of retainers that can be assigned to projects/phases and/or users. Right now we don't have a client access but several Timeneye users already asked for it and it is on our roadmap.
Chris Wilson
I'd love to see a Chrome extension to quickly open a new timer and to keep the timer up on the side out of the main browser similar to Freshbooks' timer.
Anas Bouhtouch
@automateiq I see, they open a popup with just the timer. Within this week update features we'll release also a little but useful feature. As soon as you have an active timer, your Timeneye browser tab's title will update itself every minute with it's total and the project's name. This will give you the freedom to continue to work on other browser tabs while having a quick reminder at your sight. ;)

Looks good but I personally need the possibility to register start and stop timestamp instead of just duration. Didn't find it during my quick trial testing. API access to create entries would also be a huge plus for automating my workflow.
Anas Bouhtouch
@fwdit Hi Koen, thank you for your feedback ;) Info about when timers/entries are created/edited/paused/started will be available in the future but we don't have an ETA at the moment. Regarding our APIs, we will release an update shortly that includes fixes, CORS support and a new interactive documentation that will give you the possibility to test the apis directly from the documentation site. More info will be available in the following weeks.

Nice job, integrate it with slack/trello/asana etc and see more people using it. Personally for me, one separate app for each task is actually killing time
Giovanni Lepori
@rohit11 Hi Rohit! Thanks for your support :D At the moment, we integrate with Trello, Asana and other tools (for example if you link your Google Calendar account to Timeneye you'll be able to track time for your events in one click) and our aim is to stop switching between different web apps to manage tasks and projects. Slack is something we'd love to integrate with as we also use it every day! At the moment, we are on the verge to launch 3 new integrations, get integrated with Zapier and to optimize the integrations we already have. Thanks for your feedback!
Alex Romero
Can you export the time tracked in to PDFs?
Giovanni Lepori
@b3bold Hey Alex! Thanks for your comment. Yes, you can export tracked time in PDFs and CSV too. We have a powerful and fully customizable reporting feature inside the web app. If you'd love to discover more, make sure to have a look here: https://goo.gl/vCheGU

@b3bold @gglepori Great! In future i also wish to export data into .xslx files and Google Sheets, is it possible, theoretically?

@finngregory As I no longer work for Timeneye since 2016, feel free to share your feedback via email at support@timeneye.com.

Thank you @bramk for hunting Timeneye! Hi guys! I'm Anas, one of the Co-Founders and Product Manager of Timeneye - thanks for the feedback on the design, I'd also be interested in your thoughts on the product once you've had chance to dig around. The main reason for creating the new version of Timeneye was to make time tracking dead easy. That is why we have added a simple calendar in the dashboard and improved our existing features and integrations (Asana, Trello, Wunderlist, Google Calendar, Basecamp 2, Basecamp 3, Podio and Breeze). Timeneye is not only a time tracking platform but also allows to monitor and manage projects, users and clients in real-time. I’m also here to let you know that all Product Hunters will get 31 days of trial instead of 14. You don't need to type any coupon code, just hit the "Get it" button from Product Hunt and you'll get redirected to the Product Hunters landing page. It's that simple, your special offer will be stored in the session until you hit the signup button. Within your month trial you'll be able to use any plan for free and with no limitation! Another good thing is that, if you are a single freelancer, Timeneye will be free forever: we have a free and unlimited solo plan available at no cost. Your feedback is super appreciated so feel free to comment here or contact us at: support@timeneye.com Happy tracking!

Found Timeneye after looking for best timekeeping integration into Asana. The product has far exceeded expectations.

Pros:

Great Asana Integration + Great Reporting + Good Extension + Good Mobile Apps

Cons:

Not sure

I am a heavy user of Timeneye. I tried multiple other tools but none was a fit for me. I use multiple PM apps and I absolutely LOVE how Timeneye integrates with them. No matter if you use asana, trello, clickup or whatever there is an easy "start/stop" widget to track those tasks. You also see which task has been connected to the tracker.

Option to set project as billable, and later set which entries has been billed and which not. It's easy peasy to generate reports for clients based on that.

Support is awesome and I have only positive experience withe Timeneye. Would recommend to everyone, especially those working on more then one PM app. Timeneye, you rock!

Pros:

Billable -> billed! Multiple PM integration via browser widget. Very easy to use. Calendar view for time entries

Cons:

None for me

Anytime you can feel like you're not working when you are is a plus in my book --- cool!

I am using Timeneye since... ever. Always improved, great now.

Pros:

Easy to use, nice reporting tools!

Cons:

Not sure.

All the projects have several profiles and roles, each roles implies a different cost (manager <> programmer) and it is no correct to use an average. This is the unique weakness that I find in the tool and it is, according to me, very critical and important

Pros:

- Easy to manage projects - Good Reports - Good technical support

Cons:

- It is unbelievable that itl can not assign a bill-rate per role (per user) but a unique bill rate for the project.

New tool that I've been using for about 3 months. Easy to get familiar with, comfortable UI, works fast

Pros:

Speedy, reliable, user-friendly, iOS app available

Cons:

Not sure. Maybe UI for Reports section can be better, but I don't have any specific complaints

Congrats to the team!
