Interesting product! How do you see it differing from something like Zei? https://www.producthunt.com/tech... @pavel_che
Pavel Cheshev
@nhallam Thanks Nick! We give our users more flexibility in selecting various shapes or case materials. We are open and provide SDK for developers and creative users. In fact we love to see TF application ideas coming from future users, as those shown in previous comments, and will do our best to support such creativity. Our sensor is 100% our in-house development, so we do not depend on an external supplier and can control the price. Last but not least, we ready to ship already within weeks to couple of months, depending on the version, but anyway in 2016. Hope, I answered your question.

Always interesting to see how people tackle time management. What I like about this is that it's a hands-on approach.
Pavel Cheshev
@martinsfp Thanks Martin and hello Hunters!! Welcome TimeFlip - a true game-changer in the time management industry. Yes, finally we made it tangible and, even more, handy and stylish. That means way better UX than fully digital aps or services can provide. Sharing is caring, so we are glad to arm our users with open SDK and replaceable casings for virtually unlimited customization. Check out our foldable magnetic casing, that I just love. Pre-orders are open, so make sure to be quick on board to pick up our special early-bird offer! #gettimeflip Yep, TimeFlip is integrated with you fav time management tools Toogl, Harvest, Wunderlist, Jira, Trello.

@martinsfp @pavel_che when are you going to make the device usable? just got mine and it has issues connecting an synching, the app is glithcy (1 star) and the data it sends to your app.timeflip.io is wrong. for 10 days i've had it on 24/7 and 1 day it says i worked 67 hours on 1 task and another day only 20 minutes even though i had it on all day. Tech support responds to emails but is unhelpful and doesn't read the emails.
Pavel Cheshev
@cheeto81 Hi! we are releasing new app, much more advanced and usable in about a week. The previous app was our very first experience, now we made a new one together with an app development studio, taking into account all initial feedback we got. Thanks for your comments and patience!
Craig Paterson
Placed my pre-order for a TimeFlip Solid. Looking forward to managing my time in a more fun and stylish way. When do we get to choose which shape we would like?
Pavel Cheshev
@craigcpaterson Thanks a lot Craig! At the moment cube version is the only one really available for pre-order (it basically means you have opted for it). If you'd like another shape, please drop us a line and we postpone your delivery until we have other versions in stock. Most probably in December, towards the end of the year. But what do you think about Magnet version? Have you seen our short gif above? With this one you can really change the shape anytime you want by ordering extra casings (6-8-12 edges), it's interchangeable.
Craig Paterson
@pavel_che Ah, I see. I thought that once pre-ordered there may be an option to choose which shape I wanted. It was actually the dodecahedron version I would have preferred, so maybe the Magnet version would be better for me. Does that have the same shipping date as the solid cube version?
Pavel Cheshev
@craigcpaterson Even earlier, Craig. The Magnet we aim to ship on November 1st. If you'd like this one I can tell my guys
Craig Paterson
@pavel_che Thanks, I think I would like to go for the Magnet version with 12 edges instead then please.
Elizabeth
Yes... This is better than... buttons...........! @martinsfp
Safia Alice
Placed my order! Cannot wait to try this baby out!
Pavel Cheshev
@curlysafia Thanks Safia!

I like the idea of using the SDK to make a funky thermostat with a different temperature on each side!
Pavel Cheshev
@ichillidesign Great idea, Graig! This is our ultimate goal to support creative users. In fact, we think of smart home applications ourselves :) Have you pre-ordered your TF already? Drop us a line on you progress with the thermostat or if you will need support from our tech team.

If I was freelance, I'd be all over this.
Beatrice Leung
Getting an error that my browser isn't supported when trying to checkout 😟
Pavel Cheshev
@b_wleung Sorry to hear Beatrice, what is the browser/OS you are using? I'll communicate immediately to our tech support team.
Chintan Karnik
Congrats on moving the productivity game forward. I currently use the Datexx timer cube with fixed minutes on each side. Is there a way to set a countdown for a particular task?
Pavel Cheshev
@chintankarnik Thanks for asking, Chintan! We like pomodoro technique too, so we are working on this option, yes. It shall be available in our app by the time we start delivering first TimeFlips.
Werner Sammer
Looks like a 1:1 rip-off: https://www.kickstarter.com/proj.... Sad.
Reony T
@wer_sam just at first glace I like TimeFlip better though Β―\_(ツ)_/Β― Plus you don't need some subscription (which makes no sense). See their response here: https://www.producthunt.com/post...
Angel Ordaz
This looks amazing! I can definitely use something interactive like this for completing tasks. I like to touch my tasks. I am a sensory person like that.
Anna Svirelkina
This is exiting project! I'm looking forward to TimeFlip:)
Pavel Cheshev
@anna_svirelkina Thanks Anna! to-round looks great too)
Alexander Holzer
Hahaha, that's such a bad joke... just copying kickstarter campaigns and promoting it as new, hot product. Better see http://timeular.com
Pavel Cheshev
@alexander_holzer Right Alexander, we are in pre-production stage while somebody is still crowdfunding. First TimeFlips will be shipped in October and this is no joke. question is who copies who
Werner Sammer
@pavel_che @alexander_holzer just look at your timeline and then at their timeline... ps: website was practically 1:1 when they launched it in early 2016

I really wanted and tried to use/like this device. Even when the tiles popped off I tried to get customer support help. They sent a 3D print file...I don't have a 3D printer. I provided lots of feedback. Overall it was a disappointing experience...i wish it had been better. I like the concept...but the execution is poor/buggy.

Pros:

The idea is good. Having a device you flip to track your time.

Cons:

Flimsy construction, poor customer service, super buggy IOS app

Desiree E. Jordan
What a wonderful discovery! I've never seen anything like Time Flip. I'm looking forward to testing out a product like this. There are so many things to keep up with as a freelancer and to-do lists can get lengthy. Plus, the hands-on element and tracking builds a sense of accountability I can definitely get used to. - DC
Pavel Cheshev
@_datalia Thanks!
Jankees van Woezik

If they keep working on the app this can become a great addition to my workflow.

Pros:

The idea is great, and it works

Cons:

The iOS app feels really buggy, and it's hard to use

thedude

The info recorded by the device and shown on the app or webpage is wrong and useless. even without pausing it, it doesn't record 24 hours in 1 day. Some days had 67 hours, another had 36 hours...some days only record 10 hours even when on all day. Told there is an app update coming so hope its good

Pros:

great idea, iif the data it recorded and synced was accurate

Cons:

glitchy app, inconsistant data, poor support

Nathan Veenstra

If you want to use a product like TimeFlip, you just can't have it working less than 90% of the time. Total bogus product, waste of money.

Pros:

There are many tasks that you can put on the TimeFlip. More than on Zei, for instance.

Cons:

The TimeFlip fails to connect to my iOS app pretty much 90% of the time. That makes it totally useless

Alex Lebedev

it is totally useless, just a piece of shit

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

it cannot connect to the phone most of the time

Sten Vesterli
If it worked. The device sends some ridiculous numbers to the app, registering hundreds of hours each day!
