Looking good. At what pixel scale are the icons designed? If I just drag and drop them into sketch, they are completely off the pixel grid.

@vladkorobov if I add for example the Tilda_Icons_1ed_purse to sketch, the icon is by default 87.7x 72.8 px (if you look at the shapes, not the group), which is an odd size. The stroke width is 3px but if you zoom in, no line is actually positioned on the pixel grid. So I'm wondering if the icons are designed at a different scale and the importing to sketch messes things up

@oliamazing Hello, Oliver! There are some early icon sets with this problem. We will replace sets a little bit later. Also they are aimed to be used in SVG format mostly.

Hey everyone! The feature that makes Tilda Icons distinguished from other sets โ€” they can be used for business tasks. There are a lot of icons on the internet for interfaces: arrows, files, download etc., but they are useless if you create a landing page or a website for your business. We did a research โ€” check what people usually illustrate by icons and created sets for different business spheres. Tilda Icons allow designers or website owners to save money by using our free icons instead of order icons for their projects from illustrators. All icons have the same universal flat style and you can modify them easily. All together they are a coherent whole. For sure you can find icons on the internet when you creating a website for a yoga studio or something else, but there is a chance that they belong to different authors and have a different style. What is not great. So use high-quality icons for free, make cool projects and be awesome! Cheers ๐Ÿ™Œ

@obukhov_nikita we really appreciate that you guys went through the trouble of actually looking into what kind of illustrations businesses actually need. I see so many really generic illustrations out there and as nice as some of them may look, they just illustrate things that donโ€™t need to be illustrated. I often find myself wondering โ€œwhat was the artist thinking when they made this free pack?โ€ It looks good sure, but nobody will ever need to use it.

The icons are very well made and I love how there's lots of variety, you can find great icons for pretty much any business you might have, whether that's a coffeehouse, a hotel, or a cleaning service. Usually when it comes to free packs, there's only a few very generic icons available but not here. I also appreciate the fact that they allow anyone to download them, without requiring a signup. I already have a Tilda account and still appreciate it! :)

I'd rather pay a small fee to use graphics and keep my site completely clean. Finding places for attribution isn't always easy. I fully understand they are looking for back-links to help promote their main product, but they could offer a $9.95 download option or something like that and do away with the attribution. Obviously people could download them and NOT give attribution (and I'm sure a lot of people do), but I always support authors by doing what they ask.

Pros:

Lots of nice icons and categorized well

Cons:

You have to post attribution to Tilda.

No money is involved, but they do have a considerable cost. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work, but having to link your site as part of the license agreement is not what I would call free icons.

@vladkorobov Yeah, because I might like very much Tilda ones and decide to use them, and my project evolve in some direction where linking to another unrelated sites is not part of the strategy. At that point I would have to redesign the whole thing, and the cost of using Tilda icons would be much bigger than any priced icons. I have my own projects and I know the hard work behind, but honestly, I would never offer something with a hidden marketing strategy that ultimately is payed by my users.

@aleksicmiljan if you project evolve in "that kind of direction" when you have "strategy to not linking" I congratulate you with a good revenue stream and I am sure you would like to have unique icons of your brand at that point ๐Ÿ˜Ž What would be the cost in ๐Ÿ’ฒyou pay for a good icon set?

@vladkorobov I don't know that, but would definitely rather pay than link. Although you have a point for new projects that could not afford it, and taking that in consideration the best option would be to allow choosing the way to compensate the authors, by ๐Ÿ’ฒor link.

Add them to your pages from the built-in image library on Tilda Publishing or download an icon set you like and use anywhere. What is Tilda Publishing? Tilda is a website builder with a perfect balance between simplicity and flexibility. ๐ŸงDidn't find the icon you want? Tilda designers frequently update the library with new icons.
