Hey Product Hunt 👋
So, what is Windster?Windster is a free and open-source admin dashboard interface built with Tailwind CSS and Flowbite. It features a responsive sidebar layout, charts, widgets, authentication pages, and large set of UI components based on Tailwind CSS because of Flowbite.
It should help any developer or team wanting to build a web application with Tailwind CSS to have solid starting point by using the Windster dashboard layout and the components from Flowbite.
How does Windster work?
Windster is a series of responsive HTML templates built with Tailwind CSS, Flowbite, HUGO and Webpack and you can use it with any other technology that you'd like. Windster is recommended for projects which are already based on Tailwind CSS.
Why build Windster?
I love using Tailwind CSS and the Flowbite component library, but I feel like I've been repeating myself quite a lot when building layouts. So me and my team decided to build a generic admin dashboard layout that can be used as a solid starting point for any project.
How can I get started with Windster?
You can either clone it from Github or download it from Themesberg and then run "npm install" and "npm run start" to get started developing.
You can also just copy-paste the HTML templates or code parts that you want to use into your existing Tailwind CSS project, but make sure to also install Flowbite to enable the interactive elements such as dropdowns, modals, navigation bars, and more.
Is there a Pro version as well?
Yes, we also created Windster Pro which comes with more pages and components, such as a kanban board, mailing pages, e-commerce pages, user pages, SVG maps, and more.
You can check out the differences between the free and pro version from here if you're interested.
Thanks!
@csaba_kissi Thanks, Csaba! We mostly wanted to show what you can achieve by using Tailwind CSS and Flowbite. I'll be happy to know that people will find it useful to work with Windster and save time developing web applications.
This tool sounds amazing! I have recently started with CSS and this dashboard seems like something that will be very useful! (And as someone who is kind of new in coding, I must say it also lowers down my coding fears XD) Thanks for sharing it with us, and congrats for the implementation! ^__^
