Literally the best sign up process I've ever seen. Even down to the way the can munches on the betacoins.
That being said I've got 3 betacoins, who wants them?
@kaz tried sending from Mailbox for OS X and it didn't work lol.

I agree with those. Here's my list:
1. It's a little too easy to swipe messages away. I end of swiping most of my messages to the trash accidentally.
2. What the crap with the links? http://cl.ly/X8hS
3. Files are a mess right now. Trying to drag my Betacoins into a folder took several tries each, and I finally gave up, right clicked, and saved each one. I honestly don't know why they don't have some Dropbox integration.
I think that by launch, they'll have fixed the bugs and it'll be really awesome. Not going back to OS X Mail!
Whoever thought of the marketing (each beta user gets 3 betacoins to give to others) is beyond brilliant. This generated lots of hype in Facebook groups, particularly those pertaining to the hackathon community.
@tzhongg it really is. It also looks like each time I give away a betacoin, it gives me two more... I'm now sitting on 5 betacoins.
Curious to see when it will end.

@jtriest I think it's safe to give them away, it looks like the app checks your account before asking for a coin. I got one and then got an email with 3 more.
Can someone please volunteer a tl;dr on this whole "Betacoin/Dropbox/Mailbox" chatter here? From what I gather, Dropbox acquired Mailbox and now they are shutting it down, so....betacoin?
Ah well, when Apple launches the final versions of iOS8 and Yosemite we're all switching back to iMail, iCal and Safari haha. #continuity baby

I had held off from using Mailbox on my phone because it was an incomplete experience. Now that it's on Mac, I've been using it exclusively...... and it changed my life.
An absolute favourite, definitely room for a replacement and I wish they'd open source it...
I guess it might force someone to write a Nylas N1 plugin for swipes?!

All of the comments are about the sign up process, but I'll talk a little about my experience with the app so far (5 hours).
What I like:
1. The interface is beautiful, clean and no fuss.
2. The keyboard shortcuts to swipe took a little whilst to get used to.
3. The inability to select multiple messages in the iOS app was an absolute pain in the ass, so really happy to see that that's supported in the Mac version.
Potential improvements:
1. No easy way (unless I'm stupid) to copy people email addresses from the message thread view.
2. Some form of "add-to-calendar" support
@jamesepember Two other small issues:
1. Once you maximize a message in a thread, there is no way to minimize it again without clicking off of and back on to the thread
2. When you hover over a link, there is no preview to where the link target is taking you (usually in the bottom left on web browsers)

2. Keyboard shortcuts to easily browse through a message stack. You can use the keyboard for everything else. Why not this?
@jamesepember great suggestions. A few things I'd like to see after using it all day yesterday.
1. A way to empty trash (unless I'm missing something)
2. Expand and Collapse Mailbox / Lists in the left navigation
3. Better contacts sync with my Mac / Gmail (some email addresses aren't coming through)
4. A way to actually "Save" drafts - Right now if I go to close a message I'm currently typing it still pops the "Would you like to discard message" - Hitting cancel returns you to the draft, hitting ok deletes it. The only way to actually have something show up in drafts is by hitting CMD + W or closing the app entirely. Also at the moment you can't multiple select and delete drafts
Beta is great so far. Finally you can do drafts in Mailbox!

Anyone have any coins and feel generous? :) Mailbox is one of my favorite apps of all time. Can't wait to start using it on Mac.
Mailbox for Mac is staggeringly beautiful. I regret that it was acquired by Dropbox - I am pretty sure that means we won't be seeing native 'Send to' Trello/Evernote (etc) integrations, like ClubMail has.
@jmedwards why so? hopefully they're smart enough and understand this is still an email client and we would prefer all sorts of integrations!
@jmedwards For email, are those integrations really necessary? I just use the email address Evernote gives me and forward email to that. Ends up in there the same. I agree integrations are great for many other categories of product, but I think email is one of the most flexible where it is not necessary.
