Hi everyone, this is my first product I've put on Product Hunt but hopefully not the last ;) I'm excited to introduce my new app, The Gig Saloon! The Gig Saloon intends to be a platform for the gig economy. More specifically, the aim is to help gig workers find new gigs, stay up to date on news, and share information with others in the community. Most of the apps and innovation so far in the gig economy have been focused on the gig companies but not the gig workers. So the workers have often had to resort to creating their own Facebook groups, Reddit forums, etc. to fill the void. Hopefully, as time goes on The Gig Saloon will be one place anyone involved in the gig economy can go to find out more information about what it's like working in the gig economy and how to go about doing it. Some of the current features include: - Filtering gigs by location, type of role, and requirements met - Apply directly to gig from the app with pre-filled application forms (making it close to one a tap application) - Keep track of the various gigs that you work - Register for notifications that are specific to a particular gig - News content filtered just for the gig economy - Discussion board where anyone can post questions, information, and comment Features in the near pipeline: - Reviews of gigs (with more accurate hourly rates) - Smart tagging, all content will be tagged and filtered intelligently so you dont have to go find it, it comes to you If you want to read more about the app, I have a Medium post about it here: https://medium.com/@alexcmeyer/a...
