Our vision is to help the DJ community find a cleaner way to break events down into manageable areas of 1) Pre-planning 2) In Event Request management and Tipping 3) Post event analytics [to make each subsequent gig better] What we've created is the ability for you, the DJ, to sign up [Free right now for the Reddit community] and start gig management. After that, you'll be able to set up an event with minimal steps and obtain a QR code that you can share and/r print for guest tables or wall posters (depending on your venue) With some work, we've created a search API that ties into Spotify so your guests/patrons can quickly search for a track and make it a request. Every subsequent request for the song creates an upvote and will gamify the request queue for the DJ. Each request can also be 'greased' with a tip (more on that below). In our field tests for the last 60 days, we've seen the tips really pick up as the crowd gets to see a live scoreboard for the tracks they want played. For my own tests, I've had three events that were mixed languages and music tastes so it really helped me pre-plan and gauge the type of music I was expected to play for the guests. The third feature is reporting and analytics. As you see the screenshot, we're working on constantly evolving the data sets for tracks played, revenue earned etc. We can answer questions for you as you dive in - no need to bore you with details. However, we're looking at this as the reason you continue to use the app. The ability to track-list and pivot on event type + song + tips earned is a good ace up your sleeves. What we do to help the DJ and guests: 1) No retention of user email for marketing. Emails are held for 'returning' users but at this time, no marketing emails will be sent. In the future, a 'DJ to guests' email feature may be added. 2) No retention of financial information. All transactions are run through Stripe and charges to user's cards are made in a batch POST event closing. This way, you as the DJ will have a list of songs and tips to prevent disputed transactions for both you and the TYDJ team 3) No sharing DJ data to any third parties. Two of the three of us are DJs. We understand the annoyance & time wastage with spam calls and emails etc. Like most start ups, we're trying to solve a problem and be different. But we also want to improve and launch with community based feedback. We're asking you to see if it fits your needs and tell us where we can improve to help the community. This will keel over and die as most apps due in the nascent stages but we'll do our best to keep up with you. Would love your feedback. Thank you!
