Telescope is a publishing platform with a focus on simplicity, speed, and privacy. It's like Medium but incredibly fast and with a bunch of SEO optimizations.

Hello Product Hunters! ๐Ÿ‘‹ The idea of Telescope appeared in my head when I understood that I donโ€™t like the existing publishing platforms anymore, and it seems like nobody else does โ€” most of them are monstrous, they show you ads, include tons of JS, and, in addition, they lock you in and don't allow you to truly own the content you created. Telescope is different โ€” it's simple yet powerful, and designed to present you all a new nice and beautiful way of writing and distributing your content. This project is special for me, and it ideally represents my thoughts of how honest and simple products should be. Telescope was built with several ideas in mind: 1) Any content should belong to creators, not to the platform; 2) Any page should contain only the content itself without any scripts, tracking mechanisms or banners; 3) Everything should be fast โ€” just because we're showing static content, and there is no real reason for all of it to be slow. That's why it looks very minimal, yet it includes some powerful features and mechanisms like extended stats that show who your readers are and where they come from, the ability to subscribe to any projects or blogs and get a newsletter sent to your e-mail or Telegram, and unlimited customization options. And, of course, Telescope allows you to use your own custom domain name, and export all your articles in the form of a standalone HTML blog or markdown pages in just 2 clicks! This project was originally launched in 2019 and got some loyal audience back then. However, it got completely revisited and rewritten recently, and the new Telescope is even faster, more customizable, and packed with a bunch of important features for content creators. Of course, the evolution of it continues โ€” the roadmap includes the ability to import articles from Medium or WordPress, integrate it all with honest analytical tools such as Simple Analytics and Plausible, and collaborate on publications with multiple people.  Iโ€™ve been working hard on this project, I have a bunch of exciting plans, and Iโ€™m genuinely interested in hearing what you think about it so far.
