Nice, @nhuebecker. I'm a fan of things that highlight (and encourage) young makers.
How are you sourcing products and talented teens to feature on the site?
@rrhoover When a teen signs up we ask them what there skill sets are. We then on our side have a ranking for there skill sets from 1-10. Based on the experience they put on there profile we set a base level for each skill. Then if they participate in a project and show off that skill we increase it. Teens that have shown that they are exceeding in a skill set they are featured for that reason. They other way is if they have a new and noteworthy item in your shop it is featured as well.
Hey Product Hunters,
TeenMade is the hub for the world to invest in teen by buying 100% Teen Made products, hire professional teens for services like building your website, running events or even building a robot body guard (We will try but can't promise a 100% completion guarantee). It also allows teen to sharpen their entrepenuial skills by taking on projects, creating products, and gather a repertoire of skills through courses and meet-ups.
The TeenMade team invites you to check out our site and ask questions here on product hunt.
Happy Hunting!
@nhuebecker This sounds really cool! I'll be interested to hear success stories, both from teenagers who sold services and those who hired them. As a teenager, I'll definitely look and see if there is something I can do on here.
