Meta Tag Generator is a tool designed to help web developers and content creators generate accurate meta tags for their websites. Meta tags are HTML tags that provide information about a web page, such as its title, description, and keywords.
@andrei0x309 The keywords meta-tag is not officially dead, but it has significantly lost its importance in the ranking algorithms used by popular search engines like Google and Bing. These search engines now prioritize other factors, such as the quality and relevance of a website's content, its user experience, and the number and quality of external links pointing to it. Therefore, while it's not harmful to include keywords meta-tag, it is unlikely to have a significant impact on a website's search engine rankings.
@andrei0x309@giga_greg The content should be relevant to the website's topic and target audience. It should address the needs and interests of the users and provide them with valuable information.
@rahulit It is dead meaing, that in popular SEO products don't even use it anymore ( ex: SEO Yoast)
Most major search engines Google, Bing, and Yahoo, have stated: "it is NOT used for ranking at all"...
Saying it has any significance if we trust what search engines say is false.
@giga_greg
SEO engines have a miriad of ranking factors, but they are all hidden, and we can only guess them.
If ranking algorithms were open-source then everything would be fairer. But that also would mean it will be instantly gained by bad actors.
There was a recent leak of Yandex source code, and it had over 2k ranking factors.
A lot of factors are generally related to backlinking, and ther are a lot of guides of how to optimize and a lot of SEO firms. But nobody knows exactly how it works up the tiniest detail because it is something secret.
However, bad actors manage to manipulate rankings frequnetly, even with the ranking factors secret, but SEO engines still have a lot to gain keeping rankings factors secret.
Congratulations on the release of this site! @rahulit .
I think integration with IDEs is probably the best way to use such tools, and I don't know if there are plans to implement them (e.g. VS Code)
@oe_zheng Thank you for your kind words! We definitely agree that integration with IDEs would enhance the user experience, and we are actively exploring options for implementing them. Keep an eye out for updates in the future!
