This is quite a cool demo of the digital twin tech. Quite impressive how realistic everything looks! (I think lips can improve - that's the only thing that gave away it's AI for me).
Curious how do you ensure that users only create a digital twin of themselves? Props for thinking through all of the security issues that can arise!

@hassaan_raza97 @tonyhanded We do video consent verification for every Replica to ensure that Replicas can only be created by the person themselves.
@gabor Hey Gabor- none of Carter's responses are pre-recorded :) It is using an LLM in the background and always generating each response. You can try this out by changing the LLM!
@gabor it’s all generated, from the LLM, TTS, and Phoenix Replica model. I’ll be giving a talk about how it all works next week. Stay tuned.
@hassaan_raza97 Ok gotcha. When I tried it it sometimes did prompt refusal - e.g.
"Let's not talk about your coding question, let's talk about you"
@gabor Ah- the Carter LLM is prompted to try to stay on topic and get to know the person speaking to it. However you could prompt the LLM as you choose!
Amazing! I know how much work went into the video and voice quality, and the fast response times. Super, super impressive. Can't wait to experiment with building video AI features.

Super exciting demo! I was initially skeptical but it's actually a nice experience to talk back and forth with an AI avatar who's very quick to respond. It wasn't pretending to be real - it's just a nicer interface than reading documentation or chatting, etc. Very curious to see where this goes!

Honestly till you guys showed up, all the other companies in this space were just playing games. They were keeping everything exclusive and little innovation could occur. Several shut me down after PROMISING we could use their APIs because our product Creatoor AI got a lot of traction fast. I’m so happy and thankful to be one of the first companies and use-cases using your tech. And we’re DEFINITELY going to find a way to integrate this new amazing one as well hahaaaa

Tavus's replicas feel like magic and live up to the promise and hype surrounding conversational AI. Until now I've been confident I could spot an AI-generated human, but this shatters all my expectations. It's just so realistic, and the response times are on par with human responses in a digital call.
Tavus has come a long way -- these replicas are by far the best I've seen. Huge kudos to Hassaan and the team, excited to see the brilliant use cases this enables.

Building this over the past three months has been an incredible experience. It’s a great opportunity, for sure! I don’t think I’ve poured this much effort and focus into something in a long time. I know why. A long time ago, a younger me dreamed of making my own robot—an AI I could talk to. Three decades later, this was my chance to bring that vision closer to reality.
We’ve put a lot of grit into making CVI what it is: a fast-responding, highly capable, and very human-like experience, capable of being one half of a great conversation. However, the greatest achievement so far has been the many lessons we’ve learned in the process.
With these lessons learned, we’re poised to make CVI even better. More naturalism, even faster responses, and smarter conversational intelligence are just the start. As we’ve pushed the boundaries of this technology, we’ve discovered more about how our own conversations work. We’ve imagined new techniques and possibilities, and we’re excited to bring those to you in the near future.
