Looks beautiful. Per the comments below, it's very challenging to get an org (or a team within an org) to adopt a new messaging service outside of email and their preferred messaging channel. What are some of the challenges or your strategies for encouraging adoption of taskworld's messaging? Do these echo into slack or email?
Shiv Sharma
Thanks @ggnall. It's a good question. Taskworld is not anti email. In fact, you can do a lot of actions on Taskworld from your email inbox (creating task, adding comments, sending messages etc.). This helps in engaging teammates who don't want to leave the comfort of their inbox. Since all the communication is consolidated with context in Taskworld, you no longer have to struggle with finding the right file/attachment. Over time, even hardcore email lovers will move a huge chunk of their internal communication to Taskworld.

@khunshiv Cool. Email is one of the best ways to build lo-fi features (esp. alerts and replies) before users become active and use the native versions.

Looks great any plans for a Mac app?
Shiv Sharma
Thanks @arlogilbert! Not immediately, we're working some more exciting task management features.

Pricing is pretty expensive for the low user tiers. I'd encourage you to consider ramping pricing more gradually. Startups won't pay $22 per user for a Trello + Slack competitor. At least this guy won't :)
Shiv Sharma
@arlogilbert The pricing starts from $8 per user. We also offer discounts to universities and non profit organizations.
Arlo Gilbert
@khunshiv yes. $8 for a single user. What single user needs task management software for teams? I get that you're offering the discount but your product is overpriced.
Steven Hambleton
@arlogilbert How is $8/m overpriced? Do you mean that their product is over-specced for this price point (1 user)? @khunshiv

Its like trello, but more complete and paid.

Congratulations! Taskworld looks amazing and seems to be a very complete tool. The first question that popped into my head: how's Taskworld compared to Asana and what would be the main reason for someone to migrate from it? Thanks!
Shiv Sharma
Thank you so much Igor @igorbonatto. Your feedback is really encouraging :-) Communication in Taskworld doesn't depend on third party integration. This just makes it easier to share ideas with your teammates. Taskworld offers more comprehensive performance charts. It's also available in 9 different languages (with localized support).

Absolutely beautiful. Not sure I would move away from Slack though!
Shiv Sharma
@futhey Thanks James! Means a lot coming from a UX Designer :-)

Thanks a lot Eric for hunting us! Taskworld packs visual task management, team messaging and performance analytics into one neat app. You can create tasks, assign work and keep track of your team's performance. With this setup, nothing falls through the cracks. You don't need to integrate and pay separately for team messaging, reports or file sharing. Taskworld has all of them in one app. Don't be deceived by its clean interface, this is a serious app with power packed features (https://taskworld.com/features/t...). Calling out all Product Hunters to try out Taskworld (https://taskworld.com/). Our entire team is excited to hear your feedback.

I'm currently trying out Taskworld, and I'm enjoying the experience. I do have a small list of things I feel would make it better. 1. Have the task editing screen pop in the middle - having it slide from the right is a bit annoying. 2. Add custom fields - with custom fields; we can use emojis and dropdowns to create task progress and other useful stuff. 3. When you're editing a task, and we click outside the right-side panel, the panel should go away 4. When a task is completed, also reduce the opacity and maybe add a line through. 5. Add Zapier support 6. Currently, I use MeisterTask, and I love their "Actions," maybe you guys can do something like that too. So when I move something to my "In Progress" column, the timer starts ticking. Even better, when I move to "In Progress" it logs the time on another time tracking app through Zapier. 7. Have more colors for tags, or provide a color picker. The app is solid and I wish to switch to it once my MesiterTask subscription ends, but I would like those things to get ironed out first πŸ™‚
