Hello PH! It's been a year since we introduced Taskade on Product Hunt, we've made a lot of progress since. Today, we'd like to formally introduce our Chrome Extension. Taskade for Chrome was created to help our users stay focused. Our extension opens your new tab to the last list you worked on, so you're always aware of your progress. It's even better when you collaborate with people and see everyone's progress. Let us know what you think, we're always here to answer any questions. Here are some examples of how our team uses Taskade: Weekly Tasks: https://www.taskade.com/v/r1XZU0... Daily Scrum: https://www.taskade.com/v/SJ7qhs... Meeting Notes: https://www.taskade.com/v/S17f3e... Thanks, John PS: If anyone is interested in testing our iOS or Android app, please send an email over to john@taskade.com

@taskade @johnxie mobile app request sent. By the way can we use the mac app or mobile app even without internet?
John Xie
@taskade @suzannexie Thanks Suzanne! Will send over the Testflight soon.

@taskade @abogawat Thanks Ashish. The load speed depends on your network and connection, as the Chrome Extension is not fully offline. We will work on improving the Chrome Extension performance. If you want a faster experience right now, I would recommend simply bookmarking www.taskade.com and open our web app directly. Let us know if you have any other questions or feedback!

Taskade's awesome. The userflow has a lot less friction than the other big task management apps. Collaboration is a big + w/ Taskade. Try it out.

Looks like a good list-making tool. My OCD really appreciates you guys having the option of list items not looking like check boxes. Two questions: 1. Do you have any plans on adding an "inbox" of sorts β€” or a default list β€” and allowing a "send to Taskade" option? I can't leave Trello because of this. 2. Is there an easy way β€” via keyboard β€” to create certain checkmarks? Sort of how you can create a to-do in Dropbox paper by typing "[ ]", and normal lists by "-" or "1."? Keep it up!
Dionis Loire
@draganbabic Thank you! For your first question, yes we are going to add an inbox. Its intent is to send and receive lists, like email mixed into shared with me. For your second question, we don't support markdown at the moment. We haven't gotten around to additional keyboard shortcuts for formatting options, but consider this acknowledged. :)

Taskade looks great, and I'm a huge fan of you guys! I wonder if there is a possibility to integrate Taskade with other work management/project management tools?
Dionis Loire
@mikekara9 Thank you! I've been exploring ways we can integrate Taskade with other product, one possibility, for example, is creating a GitHub ticket directly from your list and passing back a linked issue number. Creating new lists from imports is also on the table. It really depends on what API's are available for us to use and if it fits into our vision.

How is it different from Papier?
Dionis Loire
@keyul The difference is we're cross-platform, our lists are shareable, you can invite collaborators and edit together in real-time, and soon you'll be able to chat.

Great app that I actually been using for awhile, way before Product Hunt. I like it because it's simple, allows you to focus on things you need to get done and allows for easy tracking.

Pros:

Simple, yet powerful GTD tool

Cons:

Need an iPhone app to be in sync

John Xie

I love how versatile this app is! I use it to lay out my weekly to-do list, grocery list, and other random ongoing lists (I need lists for ~everything~) and never feel like there are too many things going on in one space. The ability to customize a list into whatever I need (list with some notes, checklist, note with headers) gives me more power than the typical to-do list app while restricting me more than a basic note-taking app, which is a perfect balance for me. Oh, and it's gorgeous.

Pros:

Versatile, customizable, super simple

Cons:

Looking forward to availability on iOS

John Xie

Question - what size team is the sweet spot for this? Does it scale well as teams grow? I've been looking for a simple solution for 9-12 folks, but want something we can grow with too. Other options have been a bit too robust for our current size (asana, basecamp, etc.). Trello - I want to like it, but it's just not working for some reason.
Dionis Loire
@gabriel_whaley I think a team of 9-12 should be fine, it's really how you organize and set things up. The reality is that teams don't always need big project management tools to get things done, it always comes down to who is working on what and when is it due, you can do that on one list. We want Taskade teams to be on the same page, literally. We'll be rolling out a new feature later this week that further strengthens that idea. We'd love to see your team give us a shot. :)
Stowe Boyd
No dates on tasks? No notes? It's a toy
Dionis Loire
@stoweboyd Thanks for the feedback! These features are in the pipeline, we're a small team after all.
