Aggressive spammers asking for upvotes. This product was advertised in a popular Telegram channel on startups as a *courtesy* of the channel owner (for free, to support them morally). This wasn't enough, and they started sending spam messages with a link to upvote to everyone who has ever commented on posts in this channel. The channel owner apologized to the community and removed their ad from the channel. 30 minutes after this, they still keep sending out unsolicited DMs on Telegram. Not cool.

@hewmax If you truly thought you performed a legitimate action, why did you send your spam messages from multiple throw-away accounts? This also violates Telegram's use policy. If you truly realized that it was unacceptable behaviour after you were called out in this community group chat under your ad, why did I receive your spam message 30 minutes after that? If you truly realized that you did harm and want to make amends, you should apologize not only to me, but to every person you spammed, and offer every one of them a free membership (but please don't DM them, unsolicited, again). Not that I want any, at this point, though.

@hewmax Moreover, you never apologized to users on Telegram under your ad post. That's the community you harmed, and that's the first place I would expect to see an apology. Not just on Product Hunt.

Dear Product Hunt organisers and moderators, I would like to inform you that the following product has been spammed into my personal account without my permission I am a member of an open Telegram channel where an announcement was published about the product's participation in the Product Hunt. However, my details are hidden in this group and the author of the channel has already deleted the post as he does not support spamming private messages. Spam has also been reported by other community members. I can provide screenshots to prove this if required. You will need to email aalekows@gmail.com as I can't attach images to this post. I hope to take action, up to and including banning members who violate the policy.

@anastasia_aleksandrova I've reported the same issue to the hello@producthunt.com. I think if a few more people will share their concerns about the spam with the PH team directly - the chance that the PH team act on this is higher.

You should say sorry to the communitry owner, Dmitry Filonov, for spamming private messages to community members. The mistake was spamming private messages to community members.

Currently, we are focusing on textual and video content, but we are already planning features such as scheduled video conferences (like Google Meets/Zoom calls), a homework system, and communication in chat channels. This should cover most needs!
