Hi, Product Hunt! 👋 We are Taleguild and we’re very excited to launch the gamified tool for building writing habits. Taleguild is a writing tool with gamified features intended for anyone who writes and needs more focus, productivity and motivation without painful distractions. Our game elements include levels, experience points and coins with which you can buy items for your avatars or as we call them Guildatars. You can collect these points and coins just by writing, so the more time you spend in focused writing, the more XP and coins you will get. If you are a content writer, blogger, or book author, this tool is for you. You can sign up here https://taleguild.com/ and try out. Hope you enjoy it. Happy to hear any feedback / questions you might have!

My co-worker told me I needed to check this out, and it does not disappoint. What a thoughtful/hilarious idea to spur people to write more frequently! I am a professional content marketing specialist and former journalist, so I know all too well the trials and tribulations that come with putting pen to paper—it's a real battle! A lot of the writing apps out there focus on the individual elements that make you a better writer (i.e., grammar and style). That's great for professional writers like myself, but they don't really provide much incentive to continue writing for people who are new to the craft or trying to develop a regular writing habit. That's where I see your product fitting in. I love the design—it's totally unique and fun. Using points to purchase in-app outfits is such a great idea too—makes me think of my hopeless addiction to Fortnite. This may be the intended audience, but if not: have you considered marketing this towards schools and younger audiences? I can see adults like myself finding the concept fun, but where I see it really shining is with younger writers who may be more wary to begin writing and need more incenvitive (a simple Google doc or Microsoft Word file isn't too much fun to stare at, after all). I'm sure there are a lot of parents groups online who'd be interested in seeing something like this, and educational software is a particularly lucrative field. Just a thought!

Hey @matthew_ritchie Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate it. We have similar idea, that the application can be used by students and universities, even schools. Many students have problems with motivation and productivity while writing essays, theses, dissertations and the like, so with Taleguild writing can be very engaging for them. But yes, even younger audiences can benefit from this, your suggestion is great. Parents can also get involved, I believe that children will prefer to write if writing is like a game. We will try to find a way to reach them.

@dejan_blagic Awesome! There's a lot of humour and heart behind your product, so I imagine it won't be difficult to find the right audience for it 🤗
