Syncy is a marketplace where brands can order User Generated Content(UGC) from social media creators instantly. Syncy has streamlined the process of finding creators, booking content deliverables, getting content deliveries, and processing payments for UGC.

The motivation for Syncy came from 83 user interviews conducted with brands, marketers, and influencers since November. We learned that the market is ripe for disruption because brands are hungry to promote themselves with influencers and influencers are searching for engagements with brands, but the existing platforms do not efficiently connect these two sides together. Many small to mid-sized ecommerce brands want to try influencer marketing but don’t get started because it’s too hard: influencers don’t respond to their inquiries, the available platforms for influencer marketing are too expensive, there is not enough guidance about which influencers and what content will deliver results. Syncy solves these pain points by allowing brands to book a package of influencer marketing content as easily as booking a birthday video on Cameo or a night on Airbnb: * Influencer offerings (such as an Instagram post, a TikTok video, or a YouTube short) and prices are publicly searchable - no need to enter a credit card, book a demo with a sales rep, or pay a 5-figure annual subscription fee. * Ratings and reviews are collected for both influencers and brands, to provide trust to both sides of the marketplace. Bad actors are removed. * Influencers know they will get paid on-time. * Performance analytics show the brand their return on investment. * Every transaction is backed by a Syncy guarantee to ensure that the content meets the stated description. Eventually we may expand to broader segments of the creator economy, but for now we are focused on micro-influencers (roughly 10K-100K followers) charging between $50 and $1000 per piece of marketing content. We are starting with User Generated Content (UGC), which is content the brand acquires for its own distribution, because a single influencer can produce UGC for many different brands. By contrast, sponsored promotions (when the influencer posts on their own account about a brand) only work if the brand’s customers align with the influencer’s audience.
