Love the wooden aesthetic, @jaymmtl. 👏🏼

@rrhoover thanks Ryan! Walnut is really popular these days, definitely one of our favourite varieties!

We started ergonofis to inspire people to live a more active lifestyle. After being disappointed with the look, stability and quality of the height adjustable desks on the market, we decided to launch our own. Built with local wood varieties and featuring a heavy-duty base controlled via our embedded touchscreen, we sought to combine innovation with modern design. Our quiet motors allow you to alternate between the ideal sitting and standing position in seconds and can support 300 pounds ensuring maximum stability. Switch to a sit stand desk without compromising on design and quality! What do you think?

Nice product - tactile beats plastic :))

thats one good looking standing desk! but i would have definitely preferred the controls on the side of the table.
Jay Filiatrault
@gopietz hi Pietz, really appreciate the feedback! Definitely something we might consider for a future model

@gopietz @jaymmtl I find the controls on the desk surface to be a nice unique difference between other standing desks. Looks like an amazing product, I just can't justify spending CA$1,557 on a standing desk when I got mine for US$299.

@askdaylen hey Daylen, totally get where you’re coming from. However, we’re comparing a very different range of product. We focus all of our efforts on quality, design and sustainability and manufacture locally.

@askdaylen which desk did you get for $299?
Daylen Sawchuk
@bradenhamm The Autonomous SmartDesk 2 with a walnut surface material and grey platform (they increased the cost by $50 a few months ago, now it is $349). Also, shipping is $49; however, I managed to get it for half price. PS - Here is a promo code for $25 off http://bit.ly/2uiVWT4.

This is a beautiful piece of kinetic art + function! Great job @jaymmtl !

Any shots of where the power cord goes? Any chance their is a power strip hidden under the desk for all the other crap on my desk that needs power?
Jay Filiatrault
@riptide360 Hi Stephen, sorry for the late reply. We don't like the look of cables either! Our bases ship with wire hooks to prevent dangling and we suggest letting the main cable run along the leg closest to the power outlet or extension. We have an under the desk mounted power data unit with integrated surge protection and USB to charge your phone and devices. I'll post a pic from our showroom when I get there tomorrow morning.

@riptide360 here are a few pics of a setup with cable loops and a power data unit under the desk: http://imgur.com/a/4oHjd

These are worthwhile purchase for a home office... if your employer doesn't already have adjustable height desks.

Pros:

Biophilia! Ergonomics! Increased Energy from Increased Blood Flow! Adjustability = Variability = Options over the course of a day!

Cons:

Power Outages
