We launched Stylebit in 2023 to help designers and engineers work faster together. Since then, we listened to your feedback carefully and created entirely new thing.
Please meet Stylebit, a platform to measure & analyze design systems 🚀
You can now analyze, measure and boost adoption of your design systems. Track components, variables/tokens and make better decisions.
What you can do now?
🎉 Track design systems created in React, React Native and Web Components, get information about your variables/tokens usage in scss/css. Native platforms are coming soon (iOS, Android).
🚀 Track adoption rate, usage rate, prop usage, files in which variables are defined and used. You can get higher level visibility into whole design system usage in the code. Very soon our AI chat bot will be available, so you can just ask your design system questions!
🗒️ Create reports to share with your team members. Configurable digests help you keep anybody who is interested in design system progress in the loop, weekly? Bi-weekly? Monthly? We got you covered!
🥁 Last but not least - custom metrics! Very soon you'll be able to track your own custom metrics around your design system, stay tuned!

I am more into Data Analytics, and never thought about Analytics for design. Definitely an interesting use case!

@jgani thank you very much! We were building a small sync engine from Figma to GitHub, our customers reach out to us and told about this problem that they are facing. They have a design system and they don't know how it is being used. So... We built it!

I'm thrilled to announce that we have come up with a new Stylebit product. 🚀
The CLI tool is available on the npm registry https://www.npmjs.com/package/@s...
As the CLI runs on the codebase, the main question we are always asked is, 'IS IT SECURE?'
The short answer is YES 📌, it's secure.
Just couple of points:
1. Offline Usage:
🌐 "Run Stylebit CLI offline without an internet connection."
2. Dry Run Mode:
🏃♂️ "Execute Stylebit CLI in --dry-run mode to store results locally."
3. Self Hosting:
📦 "You can check the report file and upload it to app.stylebit.io manually through our web interface or host on your own."

It's really been an incredible journey since the early days.
Great product! Taking data analytics down to the component level. Since I haven't been writing React for a long time, I have some questions: From what you know, how many projects need such detailed analytics? And in your product, is it possible to perform data comparison between multiple child components under a single parent component?

@rick_fan Thank you! Products which want to support their own design systems, or analyze a 3rd party one to understand if the usage is high enough to build own design system. And Yes! We analyze the component tree so we can see how child components are used under the parent. With upcoming CLI updates we will make it more granular.
Cool to know that there is a tool to measure & analyze design systems. How easy it is to access for someone who is not a professional designer?

@tranggpham Thank you! We currently offer a quick setup, you only need an assistance from one engineer for couple of minutes. In the future we plan to decrease that time to seconds and involve engineers as little as possible :)

Design system usage originates in a tool like Figma , so isn’t it a bit downstream for your tool?
@lee_fischman Your are correct regarding Figma. They even had analytics on design system usage but it's only design side. We are addressing engineering side of the usage. We measure do engineers actually use the design system designers created, is it useful, are there missing parts, what you will get in production.
