StopTheMadness should be the default behaviour in all browsers. Hopefully someday it will be, but in the meantime it makes browsing sooooo much more pleasant.

I'm Jeff, the developer of StopTheMadness. I just released the extension for Google Chrome in the Chrome Web Store. It works with both Mac and Windows (It protects command-clicks and command-keys on the Mac, control-clicks and control-keys on Windows.)
StopTheMadness is also available as a Safari app extension in the Mac App Store. The customer reviews are wonderful!
