Finally, holidaysπŸ˜…πŸ You're landing in Paris or Rio. Made it to the Leaning Tower of Pisa or Times Square, to take&share a few 'WOW' photos. Exciting! But this place is packed! Photos ruined! Let Stillgram ask everyone to leave for a sec, just for your photo!

πŸ‘‹ Hey fellow Product Hunters. Long time no see! Actually, since like 2016. Anyways. Today I'd like to show you guys a new app - an A.I. photo camera that solves a problem several MILLIONS of people have every year. I'd also love to ask you to take Stillgram for a test-drive and share you thoughts with us! The idea dates back to the lockdowns. I had this doctor's appointment so I took a walk, after weeks without leaving home. Oh this walk! I saw an empty city for the first time in my life. No people in the streets, almost no cars, everything still as Mars. What an eerie, yet amazing view! First thing I took the phone out and started to take photos, sharing them with everybody. They saw them and wished they could leave their homes and snap some, but you couldn't, unless you had to visit a doctor or sth πŸ˜… Then this thought struck me - wouldn't it be possible to recreate this effect with Artificial Intelligence, anytime? Wouldn't at least some of the 600 MILLION people that visit only the 100 most popular cities worldwide pay a few bucks for a photo like that, on an empty street of Tokyo, or being the only person in front of the Eiffel Tower? A year later Stillgram is out, doing just that. Please feel encouraged to download the app and tell me what you think! I'll be here in the comments in case you need me 😘 https://apps.apple.com/app/still... P.S. Of course it's the stage 1 of Stillgram's development, so a lot has to be done. You makers understand this better than anyone πŸ˜…πŸ§  Especially dealing with different types of crowds in different settings all around the globe. The plan is to train a dedicated neural network basing on the actual photos you guys take with Stillgram. So please feel free to take as many as you want and share them with us πŸ‘‰ https://www.instagram.com/stillg... Every stillgram counts, every one makes the A.I. better!
Olivier Plante
Love the idea, a needed one for strangers ruining your shots ;)
Marek Ekes
@oplante Hey Olivier, so glad you like the idea! We definitely needed an app like this indeed. When we first came up with the idea it came as quite a surprise that Stillgram would be the first camera app to do it πŸ™πŸ˜‡ I'd be very happy to hear from you when you get a chance to test-drive Stillgram. Have a great one!
Brian Roach
Very cool! Congrats on the launch! Just picked up pro. Excited to give this a go at burning man!
Marek Ekes
@itsbrex wooow, awesome! Thank you Brian, that's first of all! If you get to snap any crazy stillgrams at burning man (or elsewhere), please share them with us via Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/stillg...), we'll be happy to post them πŸ“ΈπŸ’ƒπŸ’₯
Ivan Kozlov
Looks nice. Will give a try! :) Good luck, Marek! πŸ’ͺ
Marek Ekes
@ikozlov Thank you Ivan. Should you have any comments, problems, ideas - here I am to listen :) Have a great weekend!
Aaron O'Leary
This is awesome and I think it's going to be a lot of mobile photographers best friend. How long did it take to get the A.I to work accurately? 🧐
Marek Ekes
@aaronoleary Hey Aaron, thanks for your kind words! Hope the photographers will indeed appreciate the effort πŸ˜… Well, it took about a year to get the app together, about half of which was getting the A.I. to work properly. But I guess it'll need constant development and we're up for the task. You know, the image sets tend to need to be very specific of any given purpose, so right now the plan is to gather as many actual stillgrams as possible from the photographers out there and re-train the model with the data set. Anyways, everything related to the A.I. is always work in progres, isn't it? πŸ’ͺπŸ˜…
Aaron O'Leary
@marekekes Yeah that's what I was thinking was how complex the image sets will need to be! Love that you pulled it off and excited to see the future of it!
Marek Ekes
@aaronoleary step by step, we're on it πŸ“ΈπŸŒ†πŸš€
Guzel
Is it possible to use Stillgram on already taken photos from gallery? Or only using the camera
Marek Ekes
@guzel_akramova not at the moment. We've focused on being a point-and-shoot camera :)
Marek Ekes
@guzel_akramova however it's one of the directions of development we've been considering πŸ€žβ†’
Aleksandra Sztemberg
Great idea, Marek! I will test in Amsterdam on a busy day :)

When will it available for NK markets
Awadi Rathugamage
How does this compare to Magic Eraser on Google Pixel? I currently use that but it's not perfect
Marek Ekes
@awadirathu hey Awadi, thx for your comment. The apps you mentioned work with already taken, still images, on which you can erase certain elements. Stillgram is a camera app, it takes photos - and serves them with the people already erased. It's way more complicated algorithm-wise. However form the user's point of view - it's waaay simpler. Instead of taking a photo in the camera app, importing it into another app, taping once on every object you want to erase - Stillgram is a point-and-shoot camera, that does it all in a matter of seconds. How do you see the difference though?
Rahul Khatik
Great Idea and Execution. Best Wishes :) @marekekes
Marek Ekes
@rahul_khatik thank you Rahul. All the best to you too πŸ™
Tomasz Jezierski
This is perfect... I think this is going to be a huge hit for travellers and photographers. Keep up the good work!
Marek Ekes
@tomasz_jezierski thank you Tomasz. There is no other camera app that does quite the same, so we're hoping for the best. Preparing for the hardest work along the way, tho πŸ˜…πŸ™
