I remember reading this! It has some AMAZING case studies in it - such an easily digestible book, perfect for the daily commute. Highly recommended. Maybe @seanellis and @morganb can tell us more 😏

@bentossell Thanks Ben for the recommendation. We really appreciate it. Ben's right -- this is a book of case studies. It's not a narrative form, but really is the output of some of the research we've done in understanding what makes high-flying companies grow. Let's face it, there's a lot of misinformation about how to grow and what makes companies grow. And it's often hard to piece together what drove growth in the early days, in part because the information is not readily public (like an S-1 filing) and in part because the truth about the messy early days tends to get rewritten into something more 'brand friendly' by the large organization that exists today. Each one of these case studies is the result of often 60 - 100+ hours of combing through founder interviews, articles, company blog posts, and more to piece together the steps these companies took to grow. Some of the complaints about the book are that it's too repetitive (and indeed, we used a formula for the case studies to keep them consistent with one another) and that there are no silver bullets or repeatable tactics. We agree that there are no silver bullets, but we disagree that there aren't actionable takeaways. I have personally learned a ton about growth from this research. Lastly, we've continued to write more case studies over on GrowthHackers.com as we've worked toward a new book on the subject (more on that in due time). You can read them here: https://growthhackers.com/growth... Happy to answer any questions about the book, the companies in it, or other questions.

@morganb @bentossell am I right in thinking there is a second one coming one? or a similar style book?
Morgan Brown
@bentossell There is a new book we're working on here: http://www.unlockinggrowth.com/ it's currently with agents/etc. A lot of what we learned from these growth studies, plus interviews and our own experience will be going into it.

@natesmoyer Thanks Nathan, I will definitely!

I've heard that this is great and have been meaning to read it. Now that I've just polished off my book (https://www.producthunt.com/book...) I will definitely read Growth Engines 😊.

@alexkehr Thanks Alex! I'll have to check out yours too. :)
