Starlo is a microblogging web publishing platform for content creators to publish as easily as a social network. Create a Starlo website with a custom domain name, and use your website exactly as you would a social network.

Hey Product Hunt! Today we’re rolling out the free tier of Starlo Early Access. It’s essentially a Microblogging CMS, or a personal website that looks exactly like a social media profile. It’s a tool that’s built to solve for the lack of independent publishing options for content creators (of all types). We’re taking a social-first approaching at independent publishing, with current support for short/long-form text posts, images, vertical/horizontal videos, short/long audio. I’ve been creating content online for over a decade and I’m tired of pivoting to new platforms just to communicate my ideas. Writers and podcasters have many options for independent publishing, but creators of short-form content have no real alternatives outside of developing their own platforms, or by using existing high-maintenance social networks. We’re launching a free tier today, and users have the option to upgrade to a custom domain and remove all Starlo branding for $9/mo. We will be rolling out features such as monetization options, Different web styles, a mobile app, and more over the next year. I’d love to get your take on what we’re building, and I’m convinced Starlo will solve for many issues related to micro-blogging, independent publishing, and dependence on large social networks. If you want to see what it’s like so far, here’s my profile: starlo.me/jarrenrocks

Wow, Starlo seems like an excellent tool for content creators! I'm eager to see how it empowers creators to easily publish their content. Congratulations on the launch, team!

Thanks @viswanatha ! We have most of the main content types (video, image, audio, long/short form text) and a few extensions (email/AI) but are building more types and extensions to make it even easier!

@jarrenrocks Congratulations on your PH launch of Starlo 🙌🏽! I really love this concept - while the variety of different social platforms available is great for content consumers at times, I can definitely see how it is a hinderance for content creators! The constant pivoting from platform to platform and never truly feeling like any one platform is a true representation of yourself.. My sister is a budding content creator that has stopped publishing content due to the sheer overwhelm of it all. I will be sending her over to Starlo to have a look as this could be the answer for her! Best of luck going forward - excited to see where things go with Starlo!

@sean_t94 Thanks very much! That’s exactly it, we’re hoping to build a tool that enables creators to take agency over their creation. Best of luck to your sister too!

@jarrenrocks I will be sure to keep you posted on how she finds things - I think she'll be pretty excited about Starlo. I'm excited to share it with her 🙌🏽
