@chrismessina Can only purchase in the US, but where will I receive service if I travel with it?

@jack_michalak AFAIK, Starlink is a global service provider, but I'm not sure what coverage they're legally allowed to offer.

Considering getting this solely as a backup when internet goes down at home. It's infrequent but is a massive disruption for work when it does.

@rrhoover I've had a Verizon 5G unit as my backup internet at home and plan on migrating to Starlink!

@rrhoover make sure you have a clear line of sight northward if you go for it! I can get workable internet almost anywhere with the starlink, but for taking calls without interrupts it takes a bit more finesse to find good locations!

Finally I can build that wilderness AI copilot I've been thinking about. connectivity was always the bottleneck 😬

Does this use the SpaceX Starlink network, or did you just borrow the name? Such a cool product.

@zachary_ferioli Yes, this is the same network, and is made by a subsidiary of SpaceX.

How does the Starlink Mini fare in terms of durability and performance in extreme weather conditions? Also, what is the expected battery life on a full charge?
super useful for outdoor lovers

Is "Starlink Mini" catchy enough for a portable internet device? Does it instantly tell you it's for travel based on the description?

This is really great, I like remote places, and this will allow me to work from there!

I like the feature of being able to pause and un-pause the service at any time. It's great for seasonal travel.

When I first saw it, it was like "Wow, now you can be really mobile and always online". The big one is not that flexible and it's pricey. Wonder if it will be possible to work from accumulators?

Makes sense for when one wants to go camping and other outdoor activities that might require you to stay out for days.

This could be a handy option for getting reliable internet. Looking forward to seeing how it works.

Going off-road for a week and being able to work while on the go sounds like a cool idea! I'd love to give this a shot, but my use case is not quite there yet. Great product though!

Excited to check it out. It might be a great solution for better connectivity on the go.

This is so cool! It gives remote workers so much more freedom to travel. Are there conditions where Starlink may not be as reliable as ideal conditions?

Great! The ability to connect multiple devices seamlessly is something I find incredibly useful. It means I can stay connected on my laptop, tablet, and phone without hassle.

The low power use is a big plus. I can keep it running longer without worrying about batteries.

Any plans for expanding compatibility with different devices in the future?
