Great update! Is there any way to add tips and tax that would be split equally among a group of friends? Would love something that would do this automatically without me having to make a bunch of calculations before putting numbers into the app. Thanks!
@thesameerk Thanks for the feedback! The new receipt itemization feature in Pro does have a split tip/tax feature if you scan a receipt. I see why this could also an interesting feature request more generally too
@jonbittner Yeah! Any plans to bring itemization (with manual entry) to the ad supported free plan? If this is not on your roadmap - a few friends and I were going to build an app that literally just scanned receipts w/ ocr and calculated how much each person needs to pay (with tax/tip/shared dishes) as a side project. I did some validation with a bunch of college age students - and this is certainly a problem that a lot of people have whenever going out with groups. Pro is overpriced IMO. I would subscribe if it was $5~ per year.
I barely use Splitwise, mostly for holiday trips, which is only few times a year.
Having to pay every month for features I use only sporadically across the year is bad. And the yearly price required is way to much.
Think again. I’m sure many people are like me and will stick to the free version because of the price.
You better have 10 ppl paying $5/year than 1 paying $35/year.
