I've been using Sparkle since it first launched! Love this 2.0 update :)
I have deployed over 20 websites with this app -- I don't know what I would do without it! With every update it keeps getting better :)

Would love to hear what people think of this and what is great about it.
I built a site on the weekend using Webflow for the first time and found that awesome to work with
@bentossell ok website blocked in china, works fine on vpn.. app seems to be an exact copy of apple pages ( but makes webpages ), so why don't they allow us to load in a pages file and make a website from it :) ...
@bentossell differences vs Webflow outlined below. Sparkle is great because photographers, designers, illustrators, musicians, small business owners and so on, can build a website without having built one ever before. They have a clear idea of what they want, which is generally not a template, and Sparkle is a great desktop free form content creation app.
@tony_anastasi "exact copy" seems a bit excessive :) but it's an interesting idea. I doubt it would be effective to reverse engineer the Pages file format. We don't import any external format at the moment, but given Sparkle is truly free form Pages would be possible -- though Sketch would be a lot more interesting.
@duncanwilcox I mean if you know how to use apple pages, you know exactly how to use your app also, every menu item is the same etc.. so why not let us import our 'pages' and make sites from them also ?... :)
This is a great product. Our website is completely made with Sparkle and we are extremely happy of the amount of workload this application saved us. This version 2.0 brings new amazing features. And the technical support is amazing.
@rhdarian Sparkle and Webflow are rather different. Superficially they are both "code free". Sparkle goes well beyond that, there's no coding concept exposed in the user interface, such as a "class" or how the CSS box model works or what a float layout is or why you should use margins instead of just moving the element in place. If you are a web coder Webflow solves the visual layout and lets you code the rest. If you know nothing about web technologies, Sparkle is the way to go.
@dave_kosmayer hey sorry for the late answer. The short answer is static sites such as photo portfolios and landing pages. Our ambition is to make a full and complete visual web design tool. We're a small team and can't do it overnight, and 2.0 is a step forward on that plan. Based on your needs you might find it works for you or not.
I wish it had React elements as output.
Pros:Great UI & WYSIWYG editor.
Cons:Some way to integrate with frontend and Backend frameworks is missing.
The app is developing fast, I wonder what goodies gonna come with 3.0.
Pros:Very easy and intuitif app, I would strongly recommend this.

As said, the app is upgraded quite fast and new features are on their way.
Pros:Absolutely without a doubt the best app for designing websites if you come from a design background and are used to Indesign and Photoshop.

@michael_aronstein It does with the 2.7 version. Add the music player, select your music and in the option tick "autoplay".
how can i add a calander to a web page. need to let users know when i am available.
@michael_aronstein easy to embed good calendar, I also tried to embed a booking system in Sparkle website, works smoothly.
I am just blown away about the functionality of this app and how efficient I can create modern Web2.0 and 3.0 websites.
I am a professional webdesigner who coded the templates and used Wordpress and Drupal. It is a very tedious process to have something launched in an efficient manner. Honestly the customer won't pay all the time and at the end they don't want to even touch the CMS.
SO I went back to basic, satitic HTML with some emdeded life features as e-commerce and blogging,but the programming effort is immense. So i went out and investigated that web and looked anbd tested at probably every single Website Builder app for the Mac.
Some resctricts you as hell, some you need to have a doctor title to understand the handling and some not worth the money.
Then i found Sparkle that i had eactuallt already installed for 2 years and forgot about, i started it and felt easy to use straight away. First I thought it looks too cheap probably i cannot even build a decent website. After study some quick videos I saw the imennse functionality and use in this program. Now I am creating website one page in 1-2 websites per day, so mega easy. And the best is you don't need to care about maintenance, SEO or security updates, everything build in.
Can highly recommend this app it will change your way how to create website effenciently.
This app is UNBELIEVABLY good, easy to use, and well-integrated with professional results. The app's structure is great, intuitive, and lets you unleash your true creativity without having to know some of the more arcane details of "coding" and such. HIGHLY recommend this app!
Its such an amazing product and an income and revenue generation tool for beginners and freelancers. Have not regretted using this app to help power high performance websites for my new clients.
I may have hand-coded my last static website. Sparkle takes care of technical details and lets you focus on making something that looks good and does what you want it to do. It's about as easy as laying out a document in a word processor. Sparkle has a lot of great built-in features. It is flexible enough to give you full control over your design and opinionated enough to nudge you towards making something that will look really good. This app has been thoughtfully designed not just to make your web design task possible, but to make it easy, to help you along the way.
Back in the day, I used iWeb and loved it. I hung on as long I as I could, but about a year ago it crashed and there was no getting into my site to make changes again. I struggled with the web designs I saw - they just weren't as intuitive or dramatic as I was used to, and some of them required a lot of left brain processing that is not my forte. Then I found Sparkle, a total right brain user product. The templates are exceptional, learning was easy, and best of all, their customer service was impeccable. When I couldn't figure something out I sent them a question and usually within 24 hours they responded with a suggestion. Which worked. I build a stunning website and the launch has been very well received. If you want a web building product that is easy to use, stunning visually and has great customer support, use Sparkle. Really, I mean it!!!!
I have worked with Wordpress for many years in conjunction with the Elementor plugin. Sparkle not only gives me more options in design, but also saves time in setup and makes the complete workflow much easier. All in one step.
I was particularly impressed with the extremely good image compression depending on the actual delivered size of the image on the website. Incredible performance and saves hours of work.
And if a problem does arise, there is a really exceptionally fast and competent email support that often comes around the corner with a solution in a few hours. Even on weekends.
Conclusion: I love Sparkle!
