Sparkle uses AI to create a unique folder system and organize every new file (and all your old ones) into the right place. It manages your Downloads, Desktop, and Documents folders and gives your folders images so content is even easier to find.
Hey Product Hunt!
We're excited to unveil our next incubation from Every. Sparkle organizes your computer so you don't have to. It's really simple:
🗂️ You select what folders you want it to organize. It can organize your Desktop, Downloads, and Documents folders.
✨ Sparkle creates three folders inside of each organized folder. Recents, AI Library, and Manual Library.
🆕 All new files added to a folder organized by Sparkle will be moved to the Recents folder.
🏠 Don't want Sparkle to organize a file? Add it to the Manual Library. When Sparkle runs for the first time, it will take your existing folder structure and put it in there for safe keeping—so we don't mess up any organizational system you already have.
🧠 Sparkle creates and maintains a custom folder hierarchy in your AI Library so that you can find all of your files easily. All files older than 3 days will be moved from your Recents folder to your AI library.
We've been using it for months and have loved the breadth of fresh air it brings to our computer. We're excited to hear your feedback and to continue to improve it based on what the Product Hunt community wants next!

Oh why haven't anyone done this yet until now! Organizing stuff is the worst way to spend your time. Period. If I remember the file name I can search, but I forgot then say good bye to that file forever.
I see that AI puts files into different categories - I'm curious if it's possible to change up the logics? For example, what if you want all screenshots or videos in one folder? Or all files related to a certain project/product in a folder? Would be great to be able to adjust the settings or logics. Maybe you can train it by manually label some files first? Not sure, but would be great if the app has some flexibility.
Will try this on my Mac, but my PC is where I have most of my files, so would be nice to have that working as well!
Congrats on the launch @brandon_gell and team!
I've been a beta user of Sparkle the past few weeks and love the app! It's so helpful for keeping my folders and files organized. I really like the manual library still being a thing so that I can keep my old PARA folders too. Very smart utility tool from @danshipper and team!
this is awesome! I cannot wait to try this, I am so sick of a folder on my desktop called "clean" because my once useful system is now just throwing everything into a folder and ignoring my other folders
Useful, but not 20 bucks/month-useful. I get your subscription model, but if I'm only interested in Sparkle and don't need your other apps or newsletter, it's basically game over after 7 days. Please consider a one time payed app or make it a Setapp app instead of another subscription bundle.
After trying out Sparkle, I was amazed by its effectiveness! However, I have one question: why is there a limit of three folders? It would be incredibly helpful if users could select additional folders for organization. This tool did an excellent job of sorting out my 'Downloads' folder, and I've been searching for a similar solution for years!
SO excited about this! I've been looking for this very things this past week and the options currently on the market are bleak..
I am very excited about this and hopefully, I will be able to be accepted for the testing!
This looks really great, and is 100% something I need and would use. But I have to say the number one thing that makes me not try a new app, is not having a clear price that's easy to find. If it's hidden, buried, or nowhere to be found, I assume the company thinks it's overpriced too, so I won't even bother trying it.
Super helpful for someone like me who functions much more efficiently in an organised set up but has accumulated so many unorganised files and folders right now that it is impossible to structure! Great idea and execution
@ema_elisi Hi Ema! If there's no clear category in the name, does it's best to organize based on the file type. We do it like this to keep all information about files private – we don't read, download, or store any actual files, just file names for a short period of time.
This sounds intriguing! I'm curious about how Sparkle handles the initial organization of existing files—does it use AI to analyze file content and suggest the best placements? Also, what happens when new file types are introduced? Is the folder system adaptive to those changes? Would love to hear from the Makers about the tech behind this!
@ezshine Hi there! Sparkle organizes your existing folders into the manual library, so if you've already got an organizational system, it wont go away.
For individual files, we use AI to organize them into a unique folder structure. If you upload a file type/name that's way different than your new folder structure in the AI library, Sparkle will make a new folder for that category of file!
