Hey hunters π
Our team is excited to launch Spark +AI - the AI-powered set of tools designed to speed up and simplify your email routine. Think of +AI as your personal email assistant that drafts emails for you.
*Compose*
Let Spark +AI draft emails for you. Just give it the context you need.
*Reply*
Generate response drafts in seconds with quick +AI Reply options, or by adding additional context.
*Edit*
Proofread, adjust the tone, rephrase, expand or shorten the text, and more.
Generative AI has enormous potential to redefine how we work. We believe that Spark +AI can empower people to be more efficient and impactful in their communication, saving valuable time for meaningful things. We will continue to develop +AI with additional capabilities, so watch out for future updates.
Spark +AI is private by design, meaning the contents of your prompts and emails arenβt used to train any systems, and you can always check drafts provided by +AI before sending. We do not store prompts on our side, and OpenAI (we have an integration with OpenAI API) does not retain data beyond 30 days which are monitored for potential misuse.

Try the Spark +AI and let us know what you think!
@stephen_campbell1 Thanks! It's already available on iOS, but it's in the phased release for monitoring the load and possible issues. You can update Spark to the latest version with +AI manually from the App Store page even before the phased release is finished.
I've been a Spark client for years and I'm super excited to test out this feature! Spark was already by far the best email client, and a must for productivity seekers like myself.
Best email client now got much smarter. I do believe that Spark is the best the market can offer at this point if you want to have best email client which is enhanced with generative AI with veeeeery relevant features for everyone!
And as @pjgrizel said - "This is a human generated comment to tell you my deep appreciation of Spark :)" - I love Spark, and I do believe that it is better than anything I used before)
This is a human generated comment to tell you my deep appreciation of Spark :) I've been very supportive since Spark 3 was introduced, and I haven't been disappointed. Support is perfect, updates are sometimes.. WOW :) Thank you for keeping my inbox a pleasure to open!
Spark is an amazing app and I'm glad to see them embrace AI in a meaningful way. It's one of my everyday apps and a favorite that I tell everyone to download.
@andriykachalo thanks for the feedback! Regarding summarizing email threads - yes, this can be one of the future updates, we're researching it at the moment. That would be a huge time saver indeed. Could you please share your usecase in details - what kind of emails would you like to summarize and to get suggested responses to - just long threads, or maybe newsletters?
@andriykachalo Thanks for sharing your feedback with us! At the moment we are learning more about real use cases where this feature would be helpful to our users. Would you mind dropping me a line at edovgan@sparkmailapp.com? We highly appreciate your assistance and time!
@jdvdborg Thanks! Spark uses OpenAI GPT integration for its AI feature, which can generate text in more than 40 different languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Ukrainian, as well as languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Swedish, Turkish, and many others.
Spark +AI works best when you write prompts in English (as OpenAI model has been more trained for English).
Been testing with Beta - I just hope the Windows bug issues continue to be resolved. I still get crashes daily on my main Windows machine (s) a 12th gen Dell Latitude to a custom build with plenty of resources, while remaining very stable on MacOS MacBook Pro 16 (M1MAX) down to the entry level Mac Mini M1. Additionally, was initially shocked with the major redesign but I was committed to support, and it's been really refined to encompass prior features and new features like this!
@ridgeway Hi Ridge, thanks for flagging this, sorry for the friction! (I really hope this bug was related to beta and won't happen to you in the stable version). In order to dig it deeper, could you please send the logs for our team for investigation?
1. Please open Spark and click the Settings icon at the bottom left > Support > Diagnostics > enable Detailed and Connection logging.
2. Reproduce the issue with this crash.
3. Open Spark Settings > Support > Diagnostics information > Send > with some short details on what have you been doing in Spark when the crash happened. Thanks!
I've been using Spark for years and love all the innovation they've been putting in their app. I've been playing around with the new AI+ function and LOVE how easy it made replying to boring emails. I just typed in a quick 4 words and it created a fantastic reply. I can't wait to see how this evolves.
Iβve been enjoying spark for a few years. My question is will you be using AI to triage my inbox and act more as an assistant vs generating email content. A lot of the time I just use templates when not interested or when I want to unsubscribe etc. feels like this is just a first step and I can more about whatβs coming. So what is coming?
@philip_kelvin Hi Philip, thanks for the question! You are right - this release is a first step where Spark +AI allows to create and edit email drafts only. But we are already discussing internally the full-scale AI Assistant case you've mentioned, along with other feature requests we are getting (Learning the users' writing style, Summarizing long email threads and others). Can't say the exact roadmap for this as we'll be prioritizing the developments after getting the data and feedback after the release to the wide audience, but please stay tuned for updates :)
I opened up an email and asked it to reply using the order ID from the email and ask for a refund.
The AI did not autofill the email with the order ID. It seems like it does not use the context of the existing thread in the AI.
Is this something that is planned?
@alcornkid Thanks for spotting, we are looking into it! The +AI generated text should be based on the email to which you generate a reply + your prompt text. Currently it's not using the context of the whole email thread (as it might eat your +AI quota really fast with long threads). May I ask you on which platform you faced this issue - iOS, Android or Desktop?
@elena_obilets Oh it worked on desktop! I just asked it to "Include the order number and ask them to provide more details " and it worked!
This is super cool
@alcornkid cool that it worked like you expected! In case you face any other issues - feel free to drop a line to our customer support team and we'll be digging deeper to investigate the issue or advice some workarounds π
Wow, now that's a great integration. May I ask if the content of the received emails is read and used to provide coherent and non-generic responses? Additionally, I would like to understand if it will be possible to customize prompts in the future. For example, it would be extremely useful for me to be able to translate emails I want to send in certain languages, or at the very least have them grammatically reviewed. Thank you!
I see that by providing context to the prompt, it is also possible to request the translation I mentioned. That's fantastic then! I hope to be able to recharge my credit included in my plan soon. Thank you!
@cloudres thank you for the feedback!
We pass the prompt and the textual content of the email, to which you are responding, to OpenAI API - only this, we don't pass any other data to API. But it's enough to help you create the contextual response draft π
You can customize the prompts, and for now you can request for translations in the prompt window. However we'd like to add a separate more explicit option for translation in the future. We might be doing further tweaks and updates after the feedback from the wide audience π
