Hi ProductHunt! 😀 After a year of developing between sports games, club meetings, and school work, we are re-releasing an improved Spade based on your feedback. Spade V3.0 comes with new features, major bug fixes, and a totally revamped UI. Born out of the pain of not being able to record notes on web pages while researching summer programs, we started Spade with the goal of creating the best web research/annotation tool for students. But, we realized there are many more use cases than just research. So, we redirected towards a more general use case. Spade’s Tools • Pen (w/ shape detection) • Highlight • Textboxes • Edit Tool (Move and resize annotations) • Keyboard shortcuts to switch tools, undo, and redo • Summarization of large paragraphs • Vocabulary list builder Other Features • Save annotations to the cloud • Organize annotations into folders • Share annotations • Annotate PDFs by uploading them to our site • Export annotations to PDF • Draw on touchscreen / mobile devices Here are some examples of what you can do with Spade: • Professional: Giving feedback on research papers / designs / websites, annotating and sharing articles, evaluating product selections, giving presentations to colleagues • Students: Doing problem sets on pdfs, crossing out online quiz answers, noting down notes as you go on a website, annotating articles for research, showing your work online for math, drawing out ideas for robot designs • Teachers: Grading and commenting, live work in online classes and classroom presentations • Developers: Annotating documentation • General: Using it as a whiteboard or mindmap, making decisions or purchases (detailing out pros and cons), annotating articles and organizing them online, filling out forms A huge thank you to @kevin for hunting us! @jiamuwang Thank you for the feedback! Currently, Spade works on a touchscreen. However, we haven't developed a safari extension (mobile version) yet. We will be working towards that soon. For now, if you use Kiwi Browser or any browser that allows you to download the chrome extension, it should work!

@jiamuwang @titut Yes, we wished the chrome app includes extension support, but Kiwi browser is a good alternative for mobile use!
