I have several ideas brewing for this app but looking to get early adaptors to give honest feedback on how I can start slow but steadily improve this app.
I loved the concept and I have a question.
What if I am on Soothe but the person whom I know and who can write personalized messages for me, is not. Do both the requestor and responder need to be on the app to make it work?
@tushj Thank you so much for the love and the great question! ❤️ On Soothe, anyone can respond to questions with kindness, so both the requestor and responder don’t need to know each other or even be on the app at the same time. The goal is to create a space where kindness can come from anyone, anywhere. That said, personalized messages might be tricky if the person isn’t on the app, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on how we could bridge that gap!
@samj_nyc I dont have an answer to that. There has to be a network effect that has to be built in. Otherwise, people who can write personalized messages for me are not on the app, and the ones would only rite generic messages. Is that even a challenge, or am I just overthinking?
Tried it out, I love it. And it does make me feel good to spread kindness in this way - "Soothe" is a really fitting name.
UX feedback: I keep seeing some requests that I've skipped, but I suppose this is because there's not a huge user base yet. Love the design and how the buttons are somewhat rotated. Very nice attention to detail. I did find myself confused about the purpose of some elements at first (like the icon top right that let's you know someone thanked you), but it becomes clear after just tapping on it anyways.
@berkan_sesen That's a great idea! I will surely add to my future feature list. Currently I am working on adding Kindness score for users who gives kind replies
@samj_nyc Lovely idea! The world definitely needs more spaces dedicated to sharing kindness. 💝Have you thought about how to maintain that sweet spot between anonymity and trust? It seems key for building meaningful connections while keeping the safe space.
@zaczuo Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughtful insight! 💝 You're absolutely right—striking that balance between anonymity and trust is essential. I’m actively exploring ways to ensure the space remains safe and meaningful for everyone, while still embracing the power of anonymity. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
