@alexlitreev Considering how often VPNs providers lie about keeping logs, can you say more about how you can "prove" that you're not keeping any? Your website has no further information about this and no privacy policy, as far as I can tell.
And have any third parties audited your service to authenticate your claims?

@jordankrueger Hi! It's a great question. Yes, as you fairly mentioned, we do not keep logs. How we can prove it? Well, it's pretty simple - since we do not control decentralized architecture where data is being stored. For more, please checkout Sentinel blockchain whitepaper: https://sentinel.co/whitepaper/
It's a blockchain based on top of Cosmos SDK, which was subject to public audit multiple times.
As for third party audit of the technologies we're using – under the hood we got open-source VPN solutions (Wireguard and V2Ray & Outline yet to come). All three are publicly audited by multiple independent researchers. And blockchain part is obviously publicly available as open source project.

@itsempdy well, as our app is more like sort of an open market of DVPN traffic – yes, technically some of dVPN community nodes able to do so. However, there is also some other things to be considered:
1. dVPN nodes don't have any link to your identity – they're dealing with abstract blockchain entities which aren't linked to you anyhow. They don't know who you are, they don't know your credit card data, email & etc.
2. dVPN nodes are used by lots of users at the same time, all of them are also disguised by blockchain just as you are. Keeping any logs of activity would be pointless.
3. Most traffic nowadays is encrypted with SSL. Our app do not enforce trust to any additional SSL certificates, which makes most of the traffic that goes through the node look like digital garbage. You won't be able to decrypt it.
4. Just like on any other VPN – you choose whom you trust. In our case, you don't need to trust app vendor, which is crucial. However, it's better to choose trustworthy dVPN node.
Ultimate solution that will 100% guarantee that you won't have any logs kept – spin up your own dVPN node (really easy, one single script). In that case you can be 200% sure.

@monsterjeep well, we have an iOS application and have much bigger network of dVPN nodes. Not to mention that our network based on Cosmos SDK, which makes it significantly faster and cheaper.

I've been using the SOLAR app after a swift command from my son who is very much a believer in the decentralized space. The cost of SOLAR is a fraction of any of the regular VPNs. Which is perfect because ever since getting the internet installed (1995!) I was concerned about my ISP simply logging all my data, selling it, then have advertising agencies bombard me. So I'm a big fan and supporter of the work SOLAR are doing.
