Wow, congrats guy! I've been playing with it a lot - I'd love to subscribe (especially as $2/month is nothing), but I wanted to see some exports before. Any chance you might give at least 2-3 free exports, even low-res? Also, I see many applications but did you ?makers had any precise use case in mind when you built this?
@robin_choy Good call Robin, we should give the user a way to preview what results to expect, thanks for the suggestion! As for the use cases, also we observed very small businesses & prosumers around us, and we noticed how hard it is for them to create high-quality content for their website, social media accounts, presentations or other communication support: they often don't have the skills or the time, and can't afford to hire professionals for this. So we'd like to empower them with a tool that lets them create high-quality content in a fraction of the cost or the time it would usually take!
@robi I get that - definitely my use case: sharing gifs on social media in a snap, creating beautiful animations for video content. Seems like you guys nailed it! Will go for the subscription this time but you should definitely consider a free preview :) Thanks for taking the time to reply!

@felipe_otalora Hi Felipe, thanks for your message! For now there are many uses on social media (apparently these designs are great to catch people's attention), but we intend to add more templates and "masters" : titles, charts, device mockups to showcase an app… so that you can create a great-looking short video in just a few taps. Would love to hear your ideas and use cases!
@robi Oh yes. I can see how it's great for short videos or gifs for social media as it's flashy and works as a great eye catcher. Maybe it's also useful for personalized welcoming messages. Like you could greet someone inside a landing site with those cool messages to wow their attention. Maybe a silly idea haha. Anyway great stuff!

@etienn and I launched the Notion → Presentations project a few weeks ago (SnackThis v1), and the feedback has been amazing, thank you so much 😃🙏
We had a lot of conversations about the animations with our users, and many requests for more effects. So, we decided to experiment with a dedicated tool, that lets you make great-looking text animations in no time.
We'd love to hear what you think and what you'd like to use it for: we thought about the presentations, social media posts, website embeds, or a motion design tool… and we're willing to go beyond text (pictures, charts, videos…), but we're sure you guys have some use cases we couldn't even think about.
We're really excited to make great design more accessible to everyone, and super humbled we can shape this future with the community. Thanks again for your help, we can't wait to hear your feedback and discuss with you!
This is awesome! Probably won't be paying for it now, but I think the chance of me using it for future projects is going to be high! It would be great to have maybe 10 free downloads before paying though.

@robi You are welcome! The projects I have in mind will be for website design where the clients would like to have some keyword highlighted through the use of animation like this. I can't think of any specific other features to be added yet, but you guys are on the right track in my opinion. Keep up with the good work!

Impressively simple to use. Makes very nice animations, customizable. Everything happens in your browser including the video export.
I know you have to cover costs but $7/mo is too pricey a subscription. We have many other services switching to sub model and we can’t do them all. We need some other pricing models.

Maybe you should integrate a time on animation based on the characters and/or words number. I tried a long text and it seems to me animation comes too quickly and we can't read the text.

@jorisrenaud Thanks Joris! Good call for the timing functions – most effects have this feature built-in already, but I think we forgot to update a few of them. We definitely need to start making more systematic tests, ha ha 😃

Simple and intuitive to use! I love that the animation plays by default in the editor (with timer). Great start!
