I created Smarthash to help other creators/artists/entrepreneurs/solopreneurs with a few woes I had when first starting to use Instagram for more than just fun. Hashtags: Many Instagram experts talk about how much hashtags can help discoverability, but almost no one has any hard data to back up their specific hashtag suggestions. They also mention to save off sets of hashtags in a note so they're ready for pasting on your next post. I like the idea of having hashtags ready to go, but copying and pasting them from a note seems like I'm living in the stone ages! So, I created the ability in Smarthash to save off sets of hashtags. You can copy all of them with one click or you can copy a subset for "Split Testing". With "Split Testing", Smarhash pulls in your media data and uses regression analysis to analyze and attribute higher post engagement to individual hashtags. It even highlights your best performing hashtags in a heat map sort of way. ( No more popularity contest, Smarthash can tell you which of your hashtags actually perform for you ) Along with the hashtags, Smarthash also considers factors like time of day and day of week of the post, caption length, filter used, area tagged, and much more, to more accurately attribute higher engagement to the hashtags and not other factors. ( Tried to make it mathematically as accurate as possible ) Comments: The Instagram experts also talk about how important it is to engage your audience and to reply to each and every one of them to build your sense of community. I'm a big fan of doing this, but sometimes I find it hard to keep up with all of my unread/unreplied comments. Facebook Pages did a great a job of fixing this problem, but I still don't like having to jump in and out of individual posts to reply. So, I added a Comment Inbox to Smarthash. Just like Facebook Pages, it filters out comments that you have already replied to. But it goes one step further by showing you all of your unread/unreplied comments in a single stream regardless of which post they originated from. This makes for an easy and seamless way to engage your audience and to have no user's comment fall through the cracks. I hope you guys enjoy the app let me know what you think. P.S. It's only for IOS currently, but an Android version is in the road map. Sorry for the delay!
