Slackin — Create your own public Slack chat community

I really like the currently online count, really makes it clear how active the community is. Nice touch.

I found out about Slackin after joining the Apple Watch chat group Five Minute Watchkit. Check it out > http://slack.fiveminutewatchkit.... Slackin was made by @rauchg who wrote about it here. Here's what it let's you do: 1. Set up a landing page to invite users (with realtime updates of how many users are online and in the group) 2. Gives you an HTML badge with inline invitation capabilities

Been using this and it's great. They even have a deploy to heroku button that makes it pretty accessible to new coders trying to build a community.

This is pretty great! I've seen Slack communities blossom all over the place, it's nice to see someone facilitating the integration part. I'm saving this for later as I'm sure I'll need this at some point :)

I think this is incredible. Slack is quickly becoming *the* community platform and this will help that trend.

We've been using it on fpchat.com (functional programming), and it's marvelous. Automates the entire slack process.

This is a great bit of functionality. I've had to get the same functionality using a typeform, and that experience feels a bit janky. Nice work.
