I'm really excited for this new adventure, as the last one was an absolute blast. Toggl Plan is a fully remote team. No office, no HQ. Just about 16 people working from their home offices. To keep the team together, we have had the tradition of meeting up physically at least twice per year. 2020 and 2020+1 disrupted this particular practice (and I'm fully aware we have not been alone in that) and our wonderful People Ops lead Lisa had to find new and innovative, mostly virtual solutions to facilitate spontaneous communication between team members. We played games (great fun!), drank coffee, listened to presenters, put more effort into protecting our mental health ... and obviously we also checked out what a virtual escape room was all about. So, about 6 months ago, after not seeing each-other for more than a year and a half, we embarked on a journey to land 4 separate rocket ships. I will not give spoilers, but trust me -- it was challenging and absolutely a blast. Additionally, for me, this was the closest we could get to the feeling of 4 people actually being in the same room together. Something I wasn't expecting, but what everyone really, really needed. It's not as good as having a casual conversation in real life, but in my experience it comes pretty close. And the debriefing helped us to reflect and actually learn from the exercise as well -- which, for seasoned remote workers, was surprising. I do have to say that I guess my expectations for the fresh-out-the-oven experience are quite high, whereas last time I really had no idea what to expect. And I'm pretty sure Skyrocket Your Team will deliver.

We're giving away 2 team building sessions for 2 companies for free! +info below _______________________________________________________________________________________ Heeeeey Product Hunt! I'm Jorge, co-founder of Skyrocket Your Team 🚀 We do virtual team building for remote teams to improve collaboration and communication through online escape rooms and debriefing. We are super excited to be launching for the second time on PH. A year ago was our first launch and it helped us kickstart our project. Now after thousands of users, feedback, and learning, we're ready to launch "The Mystery of Isla Perdida" 🏝️. Team building online generally sucks 💩 because it isn't fun, it's individualistic and it doesn't actually improve collaboration or communication. Our experience is different and unique in 2 ways: 🌟 Escape room design - Our puzzles are designed for remote teams by adult educators to trigger a set of emotions, feelings, and situations. You need to communicate and collaborate in order to get through the challenges. There is no way to continue without teamwork! 💬 Reflect with your teammates - After the escape room, you go through a debriefing in which everyone gets to share their feelings about the experience. How did it go? What did you learn about yourself and your team? What would you do differently? What are the team learnings we can get out of this for our everyday work? 👍 We have gotten very good feedback from startups like Wise and Toggl, and enterprise companies like Skidata, Microsoft or Cisco, and can't wait to hear what you have to say about our latest adventure! ________________________________ Win a FREE team building for your team! To participate, simply let us know what you think and why you would like to do it with your team. At the end of the launch, we will take all the comment handles, pick out 2 at random and give out 2 free team building (up to 25 participants each) to their teams/companies!

I do recommend this product!!! Full disclosure: I know the people behind this project )through working together in some pretty crazy adventures), and they are some of the most creative, innovative and enriching people I know, with a combination of backgrounds that boost their potential! I can't wait to see how these escape rooms turn out!

@gerargd I'd love to be able to try what you have prepared, but unfortunately for most of the time I am the only employee on my organisation :D But I am making good promotion of your escape room activities where I can!

Really excited for this new updated team-building landscape as we had a brilliant session with the last one! At my last remote company of about 45-50 remote employees (Common Code), we completed the foundational escape room (navigating in a spaceship back to Earth). It was phenomenal in terms of being able to learn about a colleague's communication style and to adapt under the high pressure that the timed and challenging tasks created (don't want to give off too much here). I'd hope that with the updated 'The Mystery of Isla Perdida' there is also a refresh to the post-team building session. It felt that with the document-style method that team members could 'skip' the work that would be required to bring out the lessons for this truly memorable and valuable exercise - similar to what happens in a board room in the office though! I think the best part of this is that because there is so much engagement in the team-building 'game' of the whole thing, that you get better results in a remote team than one of those 'fill in a survey or do a performance review session with your manager'. Another aspect I like that I hope is delivered phenomenally again is that under the current environment, is that it provides an ability for new team-members to get to know what eachother's weaknesses or strengths are - there's nothing like demonstrating this during the 'simulation'! I would love to run this new session with my new start-up, Ampjar.com, because we have a globally distributed team from day 1 but it's grown faster than knowing individual personalities. We might have to do this during two different time-zones to take into account the northern and southern hemisphere since this wouldn't be so much fun All the best to the Skyrocket your Team!
