@mahyad @aliatttar @sauravmitra - Congrats on the launch and release of 1.0. I've been using SigmaOS for just short of a year and it has completely changed how I approach my workflow. Split screen, lazy search and workspaces make me crazy efficient and in fact - make me excited to sit at my Mac again.
Mahyad
@aliatttar @sauravmitra @jreckseidler Thank you so much, really appreciate all your support so far

@mahyad @aliatttar @sauravmitra Hi Team, Congrats on the launch. It is amazing to see the bold shift SigmaOS is taking from standard browser and making it Productivity focussed. Love the product!!

Launching soon!
@mahyad @aliatttar @sauravmitra, impressive work. Congrats to the entire team. With @mwseibel by your side, you can only go upwards. Godspeed! ๐Ÿš€

Hey, I like the browse UI. How about the loading speed compared to other existing ones like Chrome. Also does it only work with app or user could also enter URL there? And my last question will be the data privacy as all my password and account will be saved there.
Ali Attar
@huy_doan_quang Glad you like it!! Loading should be significantly better than Chrome's, because we use WebKit (try running a speed test on browserbench.org). You can enter URLs โ€“ SigmaOS is a full browser, not just some web-app launcher. Passwords are all saved on Apple Keychain by default, so just as good as Safari ๐Ÿ˜‰
Huy Doan
@aliatttar that sounds good! Will take my time to try it out later. D you also publish the product roadmap for the next few months?
Ali Attar
@huy_doan_quang iPadOS/iOS soon? ๐Ÿ‘€ Join our slack community to keep up to date with what we are working on and be a part of that process https://sigmaos.com/community

I had the immense pleasure of meeting the SigmaOS team through a Notion event in London and DAMN โ€” these folks are incredible. I'm very excited about this launch and the company's future! I've been a paying user for over a year and as a productivity nerd, I'm happy to report that Sigma OS is a really really good browser. Especially, for someone like me, who works inside Notion, Slack, Miro, and Figma all day every day. A few other tools browser tried to bring workspaces to the browser, but Sigma OS really nailed the design and user experience. And now CO-BROWSING. The idea of collaborative browsing is super duper cool โ€” can't wait to give this a try with my team!
Saurav Mitra
@temirlan Thanks a bunch Tem! Let us know what you think of the co-browsing :D
Mahyad
@temirlan Glad you are enjoying SigmaOS, and happy to have you back ๐Ÿคฉ
Hilal Aydฤฑn
Loved that we can work on two screen at the same time. Congratulations to the whole team on your launch! ๐Ÿš€
Mahyad
@hilal_aydin glad you are enjoying sigmaos and really appreciate the support
Maria Noemi Hernandez
I'm known as a 100-tabs open person, so I love having the opportunity to work on two pages simultaneously. Congrats on the launch!
Mahyad
@mimih_arteaga Glad that you find sigmaos useful and appreciate your support
Brittany Joiner {Britt the Builder}
This is really cool! I actually like it a lot but i've become pretty dependent on the PixieBrix chrome extension and it doesn't seem like that has ported over, and I'd be lost without it. ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Mahyad
@britt_joiner Thanks for giving SigmaOs a try, will take a look at it asap :)
Usama Ejaz
This product is amazing and it helps me focus on my work. I never have to worry about losing my tabs or forgetting what I was doing.
Mahyad
@usamaejaz Iโ€™m glad you are enjoying SigmaOS, and appreciate all of your support :)
Raghavender Rao Jitta
Chrome extension support was the only thing that's been holding me back from using SigmaOS. Thanks for making it happen, @mahyad. Congratulations!
Mahyad
@jittarao So happy that you are enjoying SigmaOS, and really appreciate the support!
Jha
Hotdamn this looks good. And it's hunted by the legend, Michael Seibel! Guess I've gotta try it now. ๐Ÿ˜ป
Mahyad
@shivam_jha3 Let me know how it is when you are, excited to hear your feedback for it :), and really appreciate the support
Jakub Sarnowski
I'm curious: as Chrome extensions are now available, did the engine of the browser change? I tried SigmaOS as a developer and unfortunately had to drop it because the lack of Chromium-based DevTools ๐Ÿค”
Mahyad
@kuba_sarnowski Chrome extensions are available now on SigmaOS, you can add them directly from the Chrome store :) and the engine is still WebKit for optimal performance :)
Jakub Sarnowski
@mahyad Uh, sorry, I meant `now available` not `not available` ๐Ÿ˜… Thank you for your answer! The browser is really an amazing experience to use ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Imran Esmail
@kuba_sarnowski @mahyad Wondering why the rendering of extensions is off and it shows half screen vertically.
Danial
@mahyad @aliatttar Congratulations on a major milestone. So on the website, it mentioned that it's "Free for Students," but when you try to get that, you will get $100 credit which will be good for around 1 year, so it's not fully free for students, and I would say the wording needs to be fixed there. Or am I missing something?!
Mahyad
@aliatttar @dany20mh Heya, as long as you are a student you can renew your $100 credits :)
Ali Attar
@dany20mh The credit is worth 1 year subscription to SigmaOS and is renewable at the end of the subscription providing that you are a still student/work in education.

How does this compare with Arc? I see a lot of solid overlap. A chromium browser focused on clean UI, privacy, organization, with a great search. Whatโ€™s your business model for making money in the future?
Ali Attar
@devon_meadows firstly, we're not Chromium, we use WebKit! But we support Chrome extensions so you get the best of both worlds! We want to align our incentives with you all, so busy model is classic SaaS! Re: Arc, there are quite a few differences. Stronger focus on workspaces, tree-like research, single-key shortcuts, page renaming, workspace-specific split screen, etcโ€ฆ Try both and let us know what you think, would love to hear your thoughts on the community: sigmaos.com/community
Abhishek Singh
I can't praise you guys enough, this is one of best tools that I've used (aside from nota.md). The shortcuts are simply amazing and intuitive. This is one of those tools like Canva where the functionality that I would want is already there. I have taken the premium plan as well. Just one question - what was the reason you guys chose build it on webkit vs chromium? The reason I ask this is because any video at more than 1x speed has audio problems on Safari and all webkit based browsers.
Mahyad
@abhishek1846 The reason we chose webkit is that webkit is better for performance and more private so you can rest assure your browsing safely without 3rd party trackers :)
Abhishek Singh
@mahyad Got it, thanks a lot for the response. You guys are doing amazing work on the browser. Congrats on the launch.
Melissa Volkmann
Been using SigmaOS for a few months and I love it. Workspaces, lazy search and auto-sync are so helpful. Congrats on the new launch. ๐ŸŽ‰

Mahyad
@n_russell Thanks really appreciate the support!
Anil Meena
Congrats Guys, its a very close match between you and notion. All the best & Kudos to entire team
Mahyad
@anil_meena21 Thank you and appreciate the support
Cristian Toba
The cobrowsing is a killer feature! I always had issues trying to explain to my teammates on what to focus as why I'm explaining so this is a must have for remote teams collaboration. Good job team and congratulations with your launch!
Mahyad
@ictoba I am glad you are enjoying SigmaOS, and really appreciate the support!
JaneManthorpe
SigmaOS is brilliant! I fell immediately in love with workspaces to organise the websites you are using for a specific project and now co-workingโ€ฆ this is going to be very useful for working a new collaborative project. Totally recommend
Mahyad
@janemanthorpe Glad you are enjoying SigmaOS, and really appreciate the support
Anastasia Ryb
Wow! I use different browsers for all my purposes so I don't get confused, and I think Sigma is perfect for my work tasks. Want to give it a try! :) By the way, is there an option to disable the ad blocker? I know it's weird, but I need to see all this ad stuff ๐Ÿ‘€
Ali Attar
@anne_ryb Yes! You can disable the ad-blocker, and you can even turn it off on a website-specific level.
Xusi
@anne_ryb [โŒ˜ + k] and search โ€œadblockerโ€, or right click and select โ€œSettings for (website)โ€ to turn it off for that site specifically :3

There are a few things that are stopping me from using sigmaOS. I really want to use it. My current browser is sidekick. One of the biggest features I use is the ability to search all the things I opened in google drive. 2) I have bookmarks that I don't open everyone day, but I check them from time to time, it is not logical to add the workspaces in sigmaos. So I simply need bookmarks. (These bookmarks can be part of the + sign . I wish to view the bookmark in the left menu (hierarchy) or vertically like old browsers. 3) I seriously need cmd +T , please don't change this.
Ali Attar
@sahin Thanks for the feedback: โ€ข If you import your history from Sidekick, anything you've opened on Google Drive before will how in your Lazy Search!! โ€ข We also have "Bookmarks" โ€“ we call them tags. (Tree-like structure). You can import all your existing bookmarks from Sidekick too. โ€ข Would love to chat about this โ€“ let's talk on the community? sigmaos.com/community
Sahin Boydas
@aliatttar I can share a screenshot with you but it is not showing what I visited in google drive. I cant do title search. 2) I would love to access the bookmark with one click, you can put a button above + sign with a tag icon and open the bookmarks instantly with 100% same design of current tab, page, sub page style.
