I would call it the Wordpress of decentralized-blogging. I'm impressed by the simplicity and the UX of this app. Feels like the first priority of the team is the User Experience. Honestly I'm looking forward what the new features will be. Really awesome job!

Pros:

- Simple, just focus on writing. - Decentralized without tears - Amazing UX/UI

Cons:

Didn't find any so far. Perhaps I'd like to have a directory of trending blog posts from other authors.

Hi Producthunt πŸ‘‹ Really excited to launch Sigle today! Sigle is free to use and open source, it allows you to create beautiful and decentralized blogs. We built it with blockstack so it means that you own your data, we only rely on Gaia for the storage so you can decide to use the default blocktack storage or run your own storage (S3, Dropbox and more). When you create a draft the story is private, it means that only you can decrypt it and other people can't see it. If you decide to publish it will be stored decrypted so you can share the link and everybody will be able to see it! A lot of new features are coming in the next weeks : - New themes πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ¨ - Improved experience - More settings - SEO - And more! Since it's an open source project if you want to propose a new feature or report a bug feel free to open an issue on our github πŸš€ Any feedback welcome!

Seems like a cool product! What are your plans to get more users?
Louise Ivan
I gotta commend the creators of sigle. Your attention to detail is just <3. Kudos! the overall user experience is ++. Would love to see feature updates like a home page where we can all the public stories.
Quentin Saubadu
@louise_ivan Hello Louise, Thank you so much for all! It feels good to hear πŸ˜ƒ You actually have a home page. When you publish your stories and then click on your ID, you'll go to your home page where you'll be able to see all your public stories! Then, you have a "stories" button on your header to go back to this page πŸ˜‰ Check out our blog to see : https://app.sigle.io/sigleapp.id...

Any plans to add crossposting to wordpress/medium ?
Quentin Saubadu
@jdaniel_richer Sorry for the late reply, we hadn't been notified! Sigle V2 will come out very soon and it will look more like medium. You'll be able to see other siglers' stories and interact with them. We have not planned to add crossposting for now, but we'll create a tool that will let you migrate your Medium stories to Sigle. Stay tuned for the release on twitter πŸ™‚

Perfect for a blogger/company with an important enough voice to create a space with a readership independent of centralized mediums.

Pros:

Simple, efficient, eye-pleasing, and fun to use a decentralized product that works so well.

Cons:

Where are all the readers at? They don't seem to have a way to connect with other bloggers and readers yet...soon I'm told.

I found Sigle through Blockstack, which I found through George Gilder's Life After Google, and enjoyed the simplicity, efficiency, and eye-pleasing formatting. In the first few weeks I struggled with some errors and Quentin did his very best to get me back up and running. Lo and behold, the error was all mine and after replacing a trackpad, hard drive, and battery in my Mac all was well again. Great product for any blogger!

@dillonhamilton Hi Dillon! πŸ™‚ I'm super glad you finally fixed the problem! Do not hesitate if you have any problems, I'm here for you. Until the next version, have a good time writing awesome stories πŸ™‚

I really like the concept, but i suggest having a main page of the whole site so that readers can browse different authors and discover new authors rather than just going to the site of one author. also the SEO isn't upto the mark yet. Hope you will get better.

I am coming back to share my experience with Sigle on Product Hunt. So far, I am really impressed with the ease of using Sigle. It is lightening fast, portable, and super secure. While it may not have all the bells and whistles (YET) like categories, footers and themes, I am relieved that I am not required install plugins. I am looking forward to growing with Sigle. Oh and BTW great energy and community on Twitter and Discord!!

@leopradel Have you thought about adding a domain name, either of the conventional type or an ENS
LΓ©o Pradel
@aarh777 Yes we will add support for custom domains, right now we support BNS names
