Hi all! In 1 minute, can you answer how many SaaS subscriptions you have right now? How much were your total software expenses last month? Are you sure you didn't get overcharged, or have multiple people on your team paying for the same thing? If your team is growing, chances are it's getting increasingly difficult for you to answer those questions, or you're spending way more time than you should to get an answer. We've been hearing this over and over and even as a young company, it's a problem we have ourselves: we use 167 different products, about half of them paid. So we decided to build Track. We want to make it magically simple to visualize and optimize your team's software expenditures. Simply connect your accounting system or other financial account and within minutes you'll have a beautiful dashboard and intelligent alerts system working for you. We love ❤️ the Product Hunt community 😻 and can't wait for you to try out Track. We flew in team members from around the world to be together for this, and we'll be here to help and answer questions. Full launch announcement here (including a chart with our actual software spend over the past 12 months): https://blog.siftery.com/were-la...

@vammok Any plans to support Stripe and Stripe Connect fees? That would be really helpful. Very well done product.
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@arjunram thanks for asking, it's definitely on the roadmap!
@marty
@vammok hey Vamshi, I'm set up and it's working well – but I'm in the UK and everything is being shown in dollars. Can we get a setting to keep it in GBP?
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@marty multi-currency support should be up over the weekend marty!
@marty
@vammok great, can't wait. I'll keep checking. Another question - it seems that I can only allow access to Xero for 30 minutes, is there no way I can allow a permanent connection so I don't have to authenticate Xero each time I want updated numbers? Thanks!

To sweeten the deal we're offering the Product Hunt community forever free access into our "Startup" plan (usually $199/mo). Everyone who signs up today will get this automatically - no payment method required. 💰 You can sign up here. Many of our early access users have been raving. We know teams of every size can find immediate value, and we can't wait for you to try it out.

Congrats on the launch! Super excited to try this out for my own side businesses :)

@charleyma Thanks Charley! Nice of you to stop by. And when you do you'll be able to sync via Plaid! :D

I have been using Siftery Track for many months now at @supportbee. It has helped me find some expenses that we could get rid of. I love how auto-pilot the whole experience is. Reminds me a lot of Quickbooks' ease of use.

Awesome Product! Definitely gonna test it!

Beautiful product! Quick question -- I on-boarded and started filtering things, but noticed that the data only goes back a few months instead of going back to Jan 2017. I changed the date view but it looks like the transactions aren't being pulled in. Am I doing something wrong?
Gerry Giacoman Colyer
@itsevanwalden Thanks Evan! You're probably doing everything correctly. The good news is that once you sync your dashboard will continue getting fresh data. Depending on a number of factors - including the accounting system or financial accounts that you use - our ability to quickly get older historical data will vary. There are also varying hard limits on how far back the sync can go. In your case, it seems like currently the oldest transaction is from late Jan 2017. It's likely that our sync has been able to pull additional historical data for you since a few days ago. If you're still not seeing all the transactions you think you should, can you please shoot us a message to track@siftery.com? Our team will look into it.

As a modern company, we run the business complete with a bunch of SaaS products, 48 to be precise. From time to time some of them are redundant and left there doing nothing. I was impressed how Siftery was able to pull the data and show how much we spent last month compared to this month, is it going up/down, it's super useful to make a decision. Some of the services where I've given my credit card and the team is responsible for running it, getting the visibility of the monthly spent is crucial, Siftery address this challenge. I love the product, at the same time have some reservations about giving full access to all the credit cards, bank details etc. I believe it's just a matter of time once the trust factor increases this concerns will go away.
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@saravanamv this certainly is something that we hear a lot of and are working to address in a couple of ways. for financial institutions, we have read-only access to transactions data and none of the account metadata. we do appreciate that this data itself is sensitive, so we continue to invest heavily in our security practice including column-level encryption etc. for accounting systems, we don't have master access to any account metadata, so in some ways this is more secure by design but at the cost of slightly slower intelligence on real-time alerts etc. happy to learn more of and address any of your security concerns separately!

SafeGraph has been using Siftery Track as beta tester for three months. it is an essential utility for us to manage and track spend. it is especially good for tech companies to track things like AWS, LinkedIn licenses, and more.

Pros:

it is an essential product to manage software spend

Cons:

it just came out

Christine Outram
Nice! This is exactly what we need as we start to track all our tools and the mobile onboarding was really simple. Only thing I’d love to see is a security/lock symbol and some copy about how the data is stored on the page where you enter your bank details. That would elevate the safety feeling 🙂
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@cityinnovation glad you like the product christine! great idea, we'll look to add one asap. in the mean-time, here's a paper outlining our security process

Oh man, I remember a month when our spends were increasing from a couple of bucks to thousands. And the reason was our growth, but we also have like 3-4 tools we didn't use and they were trying to charge us extra money. I love this product!
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@ruslannaz yes, that's how we got started on this! we were doing an investor update and noticed our spend went up significantly in a matter of 2-3 months because we were throwing in more cloud servers into the mix, sending more email, logging more data etc. it sort of crept up on us and we imagined this was the case with pretty much every growing company out there!

Fooji has been using Track since December and it looks and feels great. We've already discovered roughly $3,200 of annual savings just by looking through last month's data. Track has given our team full visibility into what's being spent on software. It's made it easier to cut costs and get rid of products that aren't making a big impact on the business - and the automated notifications are very clutch.

Pros:

Very helpful in managing software spend - Great design - Easy to use

Cons:

Still a new product, but excited to see more

Looks very interesting! Well done! I'm definitely going to test it.

Wow! I love the design and on-boarding. You guys keep raising the bar. 🙌
Tim Raiter
Wow! It should be very useful. Is it secure? How you get this subscription information? Thanks.
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@timraiter we securely connect to accounting systems (QuickBooks/Xero) via their APIs or directly to financial institutions (via Plaid and Yodlee) if you so chose. all data is encrypted enroute -- you can read more about our security practices here

Great work, I have started using it! Just wanted to ask that do you just give users to add just cards issued in US?
Vamshi Mokshagundam
@jay_0687 we support US and Canadian banks on the startup plan. we are rolling out global bank feed integrations as well, these will be sequentially made available over the next weeks.
Jay Singh
@vammok looking forward to it! Btw, you guys did a great work in making life easier to keep all your subscription expenses tracking at one place!! 👍
