@rrhoover Thanks Ryan! We actually found people where "hacking" the system by entering in [insert retailer here]'s warehouse address in the TO field and handing us a pre-paid label. This was a no-brainer. Have a ton in the queue such as new city launches, reducing pickup times and overall product experience. Anything to make it a simpler/faster/cheaper experience we will do!
Great idea, in the UK we have Collect+ (http://www.collectplus.co.uk/) which allows you to drop off packages at local shops or train stations which is really useful. Having someone pick it up is even better, especially if you don't live near one of these points.
@thatguybg No API yet. Always looking at additional products but focus is really important. We have so many moving parts (people picking up in cities, warehouse packaging, digital product) that it takes a ton of effort to do some of these things that may seem simple to implement technically.
I already used Shyp almost exclusively for returns; so happy they made it even easier. For $5, I've had Shyp take care of gigantic unboxed items that need to be returned without blinking an eye. Worth every cent.
Just tried with a Zappos order I had laying in my office for weeks. Brilliant, brilliant execution, the guy was here 10mn later. I really believe Shyp can get really big, really fast
This is excellent. Returning thing is such a pain, and I've actually used Shyp for this in the past where I paid for shipping since I couldn't use the prepaid label. Great to see this supported now.
Shyp has the potential to enable P2P marketplaces to have similar logistical efficiency compared to marketplaces like Amazon.
Building off making shipping faster and easier for both buyer/seller, I can eventually see them enabling a user to buy an item from someone near them, and for $5 have it delivered from one house to another, faster than any fulfillment center could have done it.
Looking forward to seeing where this goes :)
Really excited to launch this new product. This was by far our most requested product extension. Really excited to see how it changed online shopping behavior.
This is great @kevingibbon! Like @awwstn said, some people were already doing this with Shyp. Your company turning a customer habit into a feature is just perfect here because it further helps user onboarding when they ask, "What can I use Shyp for?"
You've recently launched in Miami, and I can't wait until you take into the rest of South Florida.
