I'm playing with the app, and it's really well made. I'm a PictureLife subscriber, and Shutter feels to have lighter, more positive experience after a couple minutes with the app. Smart to release it right now. Down the road it's going to be hard to compete with iOS8, where camera roll would be backed by iCloud drive. * Not-sure about Free Unlimited Cloud Storage. TNW mentioned that, but I see a 6.25GB limit within the app

@nikitakorotaev re their limit, looks like they're awaiting an update from Apple.. http://cl.ly/image/1E3L1C3X1Z0x

You know that perfect moment, when you actually have your phone ready to take a pic the instant your baby flashes that perfect smile? You tap the camera button, and then… the pop-up of doom appears. Your full phone can’t possibly handle any more cuteness. Shutter solves your phone storage problems once and for all, for free. This app is used in place of your phone’s camera to take photos and videos that are automatically uploaded and backed up into the cloud.

@hunterwalk haven't used it. But it seems like they're trying to have users use shutter instead of the phone's onboard camera app. And I dont think that'll ever work. The camera app / default photo storage is too central to the OS. I think the unlimited storage solution has to come from apple, or from a company that can just back up the high res and delete them and replace them with low res (which I guarantee we'll see in the fall because iOS 8 will allow other apps to actually delete photos). But I dont think it's "Use this as your camera app". again, haven't used the app yet. Downloading now.
