Hey everyone!🙌
We all wanted Apple to add external display support to iPadOS 14 but they did not. So when you plug in your iPad to your tv or monitor you get the following:
😡 A mirrored image
😡 Black bars
😡 Low resolution
😡 No productivity boost
shiftscreen 3.0 changes all that.😊 It’s now possible to open four windows on your monitor. There you can use websites, documents and webapps like Trello, Google Docs or Framer.
You can place shiftscreen in split-view next to your other apps so you won’t loose any screen space and boost your productivity instead.
With shiftscreen 3.0 you now also can switch between two desktops and resize windows.
shiftscreen comes with full iPadOS 13.4 mouse and trackpad support.🙌
So have you ever struggled with your iPad and monitor? Do you think shiftscreen can help until Apple brings full support?
Cheers,👊
Yannik
Thank you for building this brilliant app while Apple gets their sh*t together!
Would it be difficult to add quadrant layout to this application?
i.e. for monitors like this; https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/l...#
Thanks again!
Thank you, Yannik for building this brilliant workaround while Apple gets it together...
Would it be too difficult for you to add a quadrant layout option to V4?
i.e. For TV sized UHD LED monitors like the LG 43un700
Noch mals vielen dank!
Maybe a good idea is to work with the sensivity of the cursor once you reduce the workspace of the app on the ipad pro. Also, be able to open and download documents like pdfs. The intention is good keep it up shiftscreen :)
@hsnkts Hey, so you have got an adapter for the TV? If you have that it should work fine.😅 The app runs on every device that has iOS 13.4+, so it will run on your iPad. Only the performance might not be as good as on a Pro device. But there are settings to help you improve the performance.
@incarnadine Hey Joseph, so you can also use AirPlay with an AppleTV or streaming devices that support AirPlay. Yes, the apps that work are the mentioned webapps since I don‘t have access to the apps on the iPad I have to include my own apps, which are webapps.
@gangqiang_hu Hey, that is true. Ill be working on the iPadOS 14 problems next week. Since iPadOS 14 is still in beta, many of those bugs come from that.
