Setapp is a collection of curated mac apps
Pro versions of apps available for a monthly subscription. Buying individual licenses for each of those, might be more expensive than one year of Setapp. Moreover, Setapp adds apps all the time so it just gets better and better.
Pros:Lots of apps for a fixed monthly subscription
Cons:Very rarely the app servers become unresponsive; fixed with a repeat click.
It's like Christmas over and over - an email from Setapp and *boom* I have more useful software. Over and over. It's the best thing that has happened to Mac software since the App Store.
Pros:A ton of useful utilities, almost all of which I would have never found
Cons:None I can think of. Saves a ton (thousands) vs buying even some of the apps included.
I am happy with the app selection. It is slowly but surely increasing. For the apps that are available, the price is frankly, negligible.
Just recently, I discovered an app (Tumult Hype) that totally changed the way I worked; more than just a few times have I thought 'This app alone makes this worth it'.
Frankly, if more apps meant less stringent app curation, I'd be disappointed.
I am very happy with the quality and honestly, even suffer slightly from new app notification withdrawals.
Pros:Terrific Value
Cons:Small app library
Simply I can't imagine working without Setapp apps. There is everything and more my iMac needs for its work. :)
Pros:Lots of very useful apps!
Cons:None
This app has more than doubled my productivity and saved me money on subscriptions. Apps like Downie, Permute and Clean My Mac has been the best.
Pros:Saves A LOT of time discovering trusted apps
Cons:er... only on Mac
