Serra is a GPT-powered search engine for recruiters. Instead of manually selecting keywords and reviewing candidates one by one, recruiters can search in plain English and instantly see the best matches, with all their research done for them.
Hi everyone, Alan from Serra here! Excited & nervous to launch haha!
✅ Our goal at Serra is to make it easy to find better, more relevant candidates immediately through natural language search.
We accomplish this by building a vector-based search engine on top of ~1 billion candidates across LinkedIn, Indeed, and Github.
🔍 A search works in 3 steps:
1. Type who you're looking for.
This can be as simple as "show me people that sell to SMBs" or as complicated as "Find senior data scientists in SF with expertise in ML, Python, and R in a healthcare setting, and have STEM degrees from the top 10 engineering programs in the US"!
2. Check the generated keyword filters.
You can edit fields ranging from "Past Job Titles" to "Funding Stage" or rely on the ones Serra generates out of the box.
3. Sit back and let Serra do the rest!
We take your search parameters, display the results, and rank them in terms of best fit. We also surface summaries for each profile and why they showed up in your search.
📣 For the free options, we're doing 2 free searches limited to ~40 results each, and no email contact info. We're early and iterating daily, so please do let us know any and all feedback! If you're interested to find out more about the premium version, book a demo with us at https://calendar.app.google/5CkC...!
Congrats on the launch @alan_wang5 and team! Love how you can search specific fields, and leverage both external and internal candidate pool.
Is there a demo on landing page? I couldn't get it to work. I only see the search prompt but not the actual result.
Does the system learn from past successful candidates? It'd be cool to link "good candidates" to certain types of job postings, so the AI can learn and fine tune search results!
@alan_wang5@tonyhanded Thanks Tony! You can check it out at cloud.serra.io ( not the landing page ). We do currently track candidates that you "like" on the platform to train and improve our results!
Looks really promising! Great job team.
A quick question: does it also prioritize people who are looking out for a job "Open to work". I understand most of the people who are not actively looking out for something might increase the bounce/no-show rates.
Nonetheless, great product, excited to see it doing wonders!
I truly believe in the approach that Serra is going with Talent Search. All the knowhow and data feedback are built into AI that distills intelligence from mass data and let human to decide and act. This is also how we are building Influencer Search.
This looks interesting. I think it will be useful to not only recruiters but also marketing, startups etc. Congratulations! One thing I noticed was website link given here directly goes to signup page, which may be a turn off. I had to figure out the main link and then I could see what it is all about.
@viktor_surkov Thank you! We're doing a combination of a few third-party data providers as well as having our own streaming pipelines set up to augment that data.
Congrats on Serra’s launch! 🎉 Making recruiting easier with GPT-powered searches is brilliant. How customizable are the keyword filters that get auto-generated?
Just got on and this is what I see. Recruitment
Industry is going to be taken by storm and shaken.
Another win for AI.
Nervous that you going to get HUGE.
But no, thank you is in order. HR can now become truly laser focussed.
Great job guys.
Amazing use case for AI agents! As former Recruiting Manager a solution like this is needed. I would add a tech feature for recruting tech people based on the keyword like programming languages etc. Moreover for a more high-level use case a co-founder matching bot could be really cool. You can start with the "stealth mode" mood on LinkedIn and connect interesting people for new startups! @alan_wang5
Congrats on the launch of Serra! 🎉
This is such an interesting solution for recruiters. The ability to search in plain English and instantly get the best candidate matches sounds like a huge time-saver. Excited to see how Serra transforms the hiring process!
Hi @alan_wang5. Great solution, but I have a few questions - key from my ex-corporate perspective:
#1. European Union-wide data protection laws apply. GPT Chat is not entitled to make private information such as LinkedIn profile or email public. How are you going to resolve this?
#2. LinkedIn is progressively restricting the ability to automatically extract user profiles and transfer information - are you aware of this?
#3. The technology is based on GPT. Every recruiter must have an unlimited access. How are you going to convince corporates to purchase GPT licences for all HR teams to sign up contract with you? They have to pay twice?
#4. I am a candidate. I do not agree to my personal data being processed in any process, especially using technology. How do you intend to separate such profiles before?
