I wish I would be able to try it our before actually purchasing it. Not talking about buying it and refund if I don't like...
Tobias van Schneider
@nucro We're on it Orçun! Hope to be able to give you something like a demo soon.

Hello friends! After what felt like forever, we finally launched the new Semplice 4. It's a completely re-designed and re-developed product from scratch. After working on it for more than a year now we're finally ready to share it with you (fully knowing, this is only the beginning for us). We collected some of our favorite things from the new Semplice 4 here: https://www.semplice.com/semplice4 We also created some more in-depth videos here: https://www.semplice.com/videos And if you're new to Semplice in general, best way to check out https://www.semplice.com and our feature page https://www.semplice.com/features ___ I know, all of this is a lot to take in, but I'm happy to answer any of your questions below. PS: If you've been an existing customer from the past years, the first link should answer all of your questions. If not, comment below or shoot a quick email to help@semplice.com Thank you so much again for supporting a small independent product company (such as ourselves) and looking forward to hear what you think of the new Semplice. 💛 Keep creating, Tobias & the Semplice team

@semplice @vanschneider Best of luck for this new version! Already seen it in use, amazing job as always :)

@vanschneider really love the feature with editing for each breakpoint! This will help a lot when making websites for mobile 👌

The showcase is impressive. Is there a demo of the blog? Is this a theme based page builder or a plugin based page builder?
Faisal Hassan
Misleading tag line.
Tobias van Schneider
@faisal_hassanx Fixed it for you Faisal! ✌🏼

I like it, I really like the design of landing page. I already promoted this product (I guess v3) to all my friends who are looking for simple and great looking with no coding experience site builder (this is not a paid review). I am just curious why you built it under WordPress platform?
Tobias van Schneider
@dainiskanopa Hey Dainis, thank you so much for your support, this is highly appreciated and your question is a valid one. To be honest, we could do it without WordPress, but we're fans of the open source platform and we like WordPress as a product. Even though we're not the biggest fan of the bloated backend (which we attempt to fix with Semplice) - We do love the open source community around it, and we like that you can still make use of many WordPress features while using Semplice such as certain plugins, user roles, continues security updates from a huge community and so on. Overall we love WordPress, which is why we chose it as our underlying system. I hope this answered your question as good as possible.

Your own admin area… Just this seems to be a killer feature to me!!

The best Wordpress based theme for Portfolios Building. @vanschneider this will be my choice for my upcoming book website. Stay tuned.

"We’re not providing any direct support at this time, only that way we can keep prices that low." Never thought I'd upvote based on this sentence; but, yes, that's the reason I upvoted you. You give me confidence to use that line, or a diluted version thereof, for my next :)

A few things: Great work @vanschneider! I just googled Semplice only to open Product Hunt and see it on the top. This leads me to the following questions. 1. Do you offer student pricing? 2. Do I need to have my own server to use? 3. Why should I use Semplice over something such as Carrd or another website host? Brilliant work, I look forward to your answers!
Tobias van Schneider
@3raxton Hey Braxton, great questions you have there! 1. We do, if you send a valid copy (photo or scan) of your student ID to help@semplice.com we get you covered! 2. Yes that is correct, Semplice is self hosted, so any webhost that runs WordPress will also run Semplice. If you need help with some hosting recommendations, we can help you with that as well, but I'm sure you have your own preferences already. 3. This is honestly up to you really, if you like to self host and build your layout completely from scratch, then I'd say Semplice is a good option. The idea with Semplice basically was that you already have a design/layout sketched out, or even fully designed and you're looking for a tool that can help you execute and launch it. Semplice is just for that, which is why we don't have any presets or templates, you literally start with a blank canvas and go from there. But in the end, we're always telling everyone to use whatever suits them best, obviously I'm biased because I use Semplice for pretty much everything. I hope this answered your questions, if you have more or want to get more into detail, shoot us a quick email at help@semplice.com and we got you!

@vanschneider There is one last thing I just thought about. Do you have a trial version? If not, is there a outline of when one is to come in the future?
Tobias van Schneider
@3raxton Hey Braxton, we're thinking about setting one up in the future. (it's a bit more difficult due to the nature of the product, but we will try!)
braxton
@vanschneider of both options, which would you recommend and why if you're not trying to sell Semplice?
Yura Riphyak
@vanschneider do you have an API? This looks like something we could integrate @ YouTeam
Dmitry Gorshkov
Quite cool, but the “based on Wordpress” part blocks it for me. It’s the most popular, but not the most secure/modern foundation.
Allen Rapadas

Been following Semplice since Semplice 2, they've made some crazy intuitive changes that really just make managing a portfolio (even with tons of projects) a breeze. I definitely recommend this!

Pros:

Perfect for less web-inclined designers, and saves a hell of a lot of time if you're a developer.

Cons:

No demo or trial, pretty steep pricing if you're just starting out.

@bsradcliffe Why is that, Ben? 🤔

@decu @bsradcliffe Hey Ben, I can see where you are coming from. We have lots of hybrid Designers using Semplice mostly because it's perfect for customizing it further. You can quickly build something in a visual way, and then add your custom CSS or Javascript to it. Page wide, or individually to each page. You can also embed your own code anywhere on the side (code module) and you can even define your own CSS class names for every element on the page, so you can later target it better via some custom CSS. (and then of course, it's WordPress, you can deep dive into the files as well) But trust me, I'm not trying to convince you here. But we're working on a little one pager explaining it a bit more why many hybrid design/devs like it so much. PS: As a Designer you should know that this is not Times New Roman (:

@decu @vanschneider ... or maybe you check your fontchecker @bsradcliffe 🙄 http://jmp.sh/7SbVqWg
Tobias van Schneider
@decu @bsradcliffe @justin_schueler Could be some caching/loading issues, should be Miller Display.
Emmanuel Lemor
It's not clear to me, when you say it's based on Wordpress, do you mean the code? or that it sits on top of a Wordpress installation or that you were inspired by Wordpress? Some of the options above are fine some are a recipe for disaster :/ lol
Surjith S M
@exlemor I'd say that's a genius marketing technique by @vanschneider. It just a WordPress theme with page Builder :D But they never advertised as it is.
Emmanuel Lemor
@vanschneider @surjithctly If that's true, highly misleading, borderline unethical - and putting people in the mess that WP on the allure of something awesome doesn't ring great.
Aaron Adler
Designers are picky about the tools they use. This interface is elegant and offers the customization designers need to show off their skills. Congratulations @vanschneider and @lugotype
Romain Violleau
Wow, it's strong! Congrats guys
valeri

Gives the possibility to be able to use it for free (trial version)

Pros:

It's a good tool for creating portfolios, but nobody can't test with trial version.

Cons:

Video is little to show tool quality.

Hrant Arzumanyan
It is interesting, but in my opinion, not very useful.
