After getting my first MacBook last year and using Safari as my default browser, I noticed a lack of essential extensions for developers and designers. I needed a tool to quickly download images in different formats, so I decided to create one myself. The result is "Save Image as Type" a streamlined extension that allows you save any web image as PNG, JPEG, or WEBP, simplifying your workflow and keeping your images in the format you need. It seamlessly integrates with Safari, ensuring a smooth and privacy-focused browsing experience, as it doesn’t collect any data. I hope it can be helpful for many people out there. I saw ur Safari extension thru a friend's rec, not sure why anybody needs to save images in diff formats when u can just use other free tools, but I guess some ppl might find it cool, any plans to add more features or just keeping it simple?

The new Safari extension seems to be a rehash of existing tools like Download All Images or Save as Type, can't see how it's different or better, especially with the same old options like PNG, JPEG, and WEBP, it would be more interesting if it supported newer or less common formats, also would love a bulk download feature to save multiple images at once, any plans for that? Having more unique features could make it more appealing, just my 2 cents

This extension feels a bit unnecessary, I mean, couldn't you just use existing tools to save images in different formats already, what's the point of adding another thing to clutter Safari, maybe instead of just saving images in various formats, it could offer some basic editing, cropping or resizing, and could it be made to work on other browsers too, kinda feels limited right now, thoughts on that?

Good idea in theory but doesn't Safari already let you save images by right-clicking, this seems like a solution in search of a problem, doesn't Chrome have similar extensions like Download All Images, what sets this apart really, and how secure is it with so many permissions required, maybe add some unique features like automatic renaming or tagging for better organization
