I’m the Founder and CEO of SagaLabs, and we hope that SagaLabs’ translations can help save time and effort in your workflow. In the future, we aim to build an AI native all-language platform, using human-like translations. @gabor_kriston Hi Gabor, great question! We use an agent-based architecture that first identifies idiomatic expressions, cultural references, and context-specific terms in the story. Once identified, the system ensures these elements are translated as accurately as possible while preserving their cultural significance. This way, we strive to keep the original flavor of the story intact in different languages!

I'm sure its good but authentication requirement adds a lot of friction. At least give us a chance to do a sample translation before asking for credentials.

@bonvisions Great question! While ChatGPT excels at broader translation works, we focuses on more-contextualized translations, especially for stories(web novels, etc). Our goal is to empower creators with precise translations that capture the tone and style of the original text, making it easier for their works to resonate with a global audience. 😊

@xiaoyi_liu1 benchmarking with which languages? Topic? Text length? I have been using DeepL with great satisfaction, and I need to see some concrete proof instead of just a number.
@umberto_abbatantuono We selected texts of around 5,000 words from novels, blogs, scripts, and other content (novels were a bit longer). Since our team includes a linguist fluent in four languages, our initial testing was based on four languages: Chinese, Spanish, English, and French.
@0xconvergence Haha, we can honestly say that we haven’t trained our own model yet. We’re using the best available models and combining them. Our focus is on simulating and enhancing the human translation process, along with leveraging linguistic know-how to make translation tasks more refined. For each step, we use the model that is most suitable for that specific stage.

Just tried it but I don't think it works well currently.
* The interface is quite confusing
* When I selected German as translation language it translated most part of the text into Dutch instead
* There's no scroll link between original and translation, no highlighting, not option to select alternative translation of words or sentences
* Line breaks are removed in the translation
* it makes unproven claims about how much better the translation is, and possible earnings
And how did you measure that it's "130% better than DeepL" ??

Apologies for the confusion with the German-to-Dutch issue. This might be a bug, and we're already investigating it to ensure it doesn't happen again! Line breaks is also an aware issue and our team is fixing now.

Yes, during our previous market research, we discovered that local authors have a hard time promoting their work. And because of language barriers, they either have to pay for expensive human translations or rely only on readers who speak their native language.
That’s why we wanted to build this platform—to help any creator, even if they only speak one language, reach a global audience and make money from it.

@christy_kk Thanks! We simulate and reinforce the human translation process by first identifying the type, tone, key events, characters, idioms, and slang in the original text. However, we haven't yet released a feature tailored for different platforms, but that's a brilliant suggestion! I believe it would be very useful for our users, and we'll consider rolling it out soon.
