Our app allows anyone to curate products into their own custom store to earn affiliate income in seconds. Setting up your store is easy: Customize your store, add the products you love, and share it with your followers. Signup and earn a free NFT.
@lastridgely Glad you like it! The store builder is 100% free with no subscription or transaction fee. Arjun gave a good answer to @vinayp10 about how we'll make it sustainable in the long term via the release of our API.
@vinayp10 Hey Vinay -- good question, we actually create non-custodial (as in, we don't own them and can't access them) Solana wallets for users based on their email. Right now, we gated buying with sign up so we could airdrop an NFT when you shop. It was more-so a way for us to test out if the wallet creation was an interesting feature.
That being said, we may remove that gate and let anyone click through (and potentially only have folks sign-up if they're interested in the crypto pieces). It's also open-source, so anyone can clone and create their own, much better version of the store builder :)
@vinayp10 The store builder is run on an API that we're creating. To get our API production ready, we wanted to launch the store builder to get usage. We're also hoping for other developers to create their own store builder or other shopping experiences that run on the API.
Think this is useful -- it's a cool way to share recommendations without being salesy. Also interesting way to earn tokens on top of regular every day life decisions (not that we have to continuously value the concept of just existing lol, but nonetheless, I digress...)
From a user perspective:
1) I might start with "Add a new product" before the prompt to "Add a new section" -- I understand why hierarchically you would start with section, but from a "where do I begin perspective" I feel like add a new product is a more powerful starting point. Then the user could group the products or the prompt could be "add a new section or add a new product" -- Dropmark does an ok job of providing the option to "stack" URLs that have been visually bookmarked. Bottom line: I would explore tools that get you to add the atomic unit of content first and group/categorize later.
2) I had confusion over whether I needed an amazon affiliate link or just any old amazon link would function when adding a url -- I am assuming any old link works and Rye does the work to compensate me?
3) I may be wrong, but it seems saving an avatar is failing to save or populate the avatar on the frontend -- tried a couple times, but it didn't save
4) would be cool to have a banner or bottom widget that gives suggested examples of other people's Rye stores to see how they organized them or one that is already populated
Also -- I would suggest adding a non-male / possibly mom-blogger influencer type to the home page. There are so many people sharing these links for free etc. on Instagram saved stories -- would be cool to see one of them repp'd on the home page. But I'm sure you're getting to that...
lol @ Apple products and supplements. But I get it... this is a product hunt debut ;) <3
@kfalter Thanks so much for the feedback Kelsey.
1) + 2) We've passed on the feedback to our product team!
3) You're right - nice spot. It should be bug fixed now.
4) That's a cool idea, how about a 'Discover' page where you can see all the top performing/note-worthy stores?
@kfalter Yeah we're definitely looking to update our hero image when we get more stores created. Make sure to send any mom-blogger influencers that you know our way!
@product choices Arjun is our resident tech bro :)
@saadhrizvi Thank you for your support Saad! It depends on the category of product - you can see the full breakdown in our FAQs here: https://bit.ly/rye-faqs
Really cool idea! I can see this being super useful for non-technical people that want to earn some affiliate commissions from the products they recommend to their friends and followers.
Great stuff. It would be cool if I could also add my own product image as a cover to the products in case I have better ones than the ones you pull from Amazon/Shopify. Or better, videos.
The section where I’m adding why I recommend this product could be more prominent or better designed because that’s in the end my selling proposition.
I worked on something similar and have more suggestions but that’s it for now… good start so far! :)

This is very cool! I've always wanted to collect and share in some way all the sustainable products I'm switching to and using on a daily basis! But also save somewhere for me to buy also in the future.
Hi Hunters! I’m the Co-Founder & CTO of Rye Protocol. We’re super excited to get the Store Builder into the hands of as many users as we can to get feedback on both the Store Builder but also the Rye Protocol.
