Hi Product Hunt community. I’m Humberto, the CEO of Rows.
12 months ago we released Rows to the public. Rows 1.0 presented the first spreadsheet with built-in Integrations and a great sharing experience that transforms spreadsheets into mobile-friendly, interactive pages.
We’re on a journey to upgrade legacy spreadsheet software. They are a magnet for copy-pasting and slow data entry, and after all that hard work the result is still ugly. The 2000s were a long time ago, who wants nasty charts hovering over tables? Your audience deserves better.
Rows 2.0 doubles-down on our mission: to simplify how people use spreadsheets to import data, analyze it and turn it into beautiful reports.

- Data Tables. Our new Wizard imports data from any of our +45 integrations and generates a dynamic Data Table, without the need for formulas. A built-in scheduler refreshes table data automatically, even while you’re away!
- More Analytics. Our BigQuery integration imports tables and runs SQL queries. It’s perfect for recurrent data analysis and reporting. This is great for Analysts, Marketers, PMs and Managers alike.
- Endless extensibility. We released connectors for Zapier, Make.com, and a REST API. Connect Rows to Typeform, Airtable, GSheets, and more!
- Better importing, with fast XLS/CSV file handling.

- Brand new editor grid. Enjoy pixel-level scrolling for the smoothest reading experience. Compose your reports with Pages, Conditional Formatting, Freeze Panes, and more.
- Next-level mobile experience. Charts look terrific on your phone with a new responsive layout. Tables too!
- Second brain. Our OpenAI integration gives you the power of AI so that you can classify, summarize, translate, and generate data in the spreadsheet. Use it via our Wizard or with the ASK_OPENAI() function.

Rows looks amazing! I have a question as a heavy Coda user: what does Rows offer that Coda does not? I don't mean this in an offensive way, I'm honestly wondering because I haven't used Rows much but use Coda a lot and it seems Rows perfectly overlaps with what Coda offers, but Coda offers extra features as well.
I might be totally off here so please let me know what I'm missing!
@anna_0x Great question! Rows is a full spreadsheet that supports all spreadsheet Excel-like functions and the open formula language. It also offers more connectivity options, esp. more native integrations and web request functions, compared to Coda.
You can use Rows with Coda, e.g. you can embed Rows charts or tables in your Coda doc, or you can use a Coda pack built by the community: https://coda.io/packs/rows-19667.

@torbschulz that helps, somewhat! In the meantime I logged into Rows and played around for a few minutes and it seems that, compared to Coda, Rows:
- makes it a lot easier / more intuitive to pull data from other apps
- is not a database, so each column doesn't have to have the same type of data in every single cell
- is more geared toward making “mini apps/tools” that you can share with others.
- offers a lot of built-in integrations that you rarely find in mass-market tools but are very useful for businesses (e.g. VAT validation)

The only thing I'd add is that rather than being geared toward making “mini apps/tools”, it's geared toward running analysis and creating reports that you can share with others. If that makes sense.
As a former developer I've been following Rows from the sidelines ever since due to still being a regular user and I got to say, wow, the pace of innovation has only been increasing and I guess I'll remain a happy user, congrats team
